If true I obviously won't complain at five new songs, though you wonder why they didn't add a couple more of them to the main album. Something about Tell You This Boy makes me a little dubious.

You just know the price for all three digital versions will be less than the first two individually for maximum units.
 
I would rather just have everything up on streaming but I know that's not going to happen.

There has got to be another way of making music more profitable. I resent buying anything these days because I know it will just collect dust. I guess it's fine for collectors but I would suggest there are far fewer of them than there used to be.

I haven't purchased Tension II yet - I'm just going to wait for a version that contains the most music but even then it will be a courtesy buy.
 
Apparently Tell You This Boy is very "Fever b-sidey" and isn't much cop. Funny because that descriptor would be a compliment in my books.
 
I think she might struggle for a #1 this time around. Coldplay have had enormous sales this week and there is meant to be a secret big artist album drop next week.

My intention at this stage is only to buy a digital version, if the rumour above is true. If there isn't a digital with extra tracks, I won't bother.

I spent some time tidying the spare room yesterday and found myself resenting all my physicals of Disco and Tension again. It's all just clutter, no much how much glitter its rolled in.
 
Yeah...I want to support her in a way other than buying live tickets but this is just going to end up being some else's mess when I shift off this mortal coil. Actually it's going to be the PLANET's mess.

I don't buy music by anyone else any more.
 
I was thinking that streaming services should maybe charge a one off nominal fee for you to stream an artist's album in perpetuity but the logistics of how that would work is a too much to unpack. Besides, it might just end up driving people to (illegal) download sites.

It'll be a wonderful haul of DEAD OLD POOF'S TREASURES for a lucky younger gay to find in a charity shop and be enlightened by, so I wouldn't worry.

Although they probably will only need the one version of each album.

One of my favourite Moopy memories is rifling through a quiet charity shop on a Saturday morning in Brighton years ago with @Sheena , who discovered a trove of old Donna Summer and Grace Jones vinyl and boomed out across the store "OOH, SOME OLD QUEEN'S DIED LOVES!"

So under this plan, when I suffered through Katy Perry's flop album 143, you'd have had me pay for the privilege?

Coldplay only did like 6.5k on streaming, so by week three their sales should be very low. I assume if she can manage 30-40k she should be getting the #1, obviously dependent on whether some big release is sprung on is.
 
I haven’t bought a new Physical in years except Nicki French and the last couple of Dannii deluxe editions. I still get the odd single on eBay if it’s not on streaming but I just rip them and off to the charity shop it goes.
