I re-listened last night. The ones I've routinely skipped these past five years are STILL SHIT. On the whole, however, it is an enjoyable, if not terribly exhausting, affair.

08 Aura
08 Venus
07 G.U.Y.
08 Sexxx Dreams
00 Jewels N Drugs
02 MANiCURE
10 Do What U Want
09 Artpop
00 Swine
03 Donatella
09 Fashion
09 Mary Jane Holland
00 Dope
09 Gypsy
08 Applause

I've had several moments cherry picking from this album since we did the listen party. I even listened again in full, including Swine. which I've somehow convinced myself to quite enjoy. the stan goggles are residing happily on my face.

Does that make her somehow less relevant than Gaga, who's a big personality selling a third as much?
wow I really talked some SHIT for a HOT SEC back in the halycon days of 2015 didn't I

7 is actually generous considering the masterpiece it followed.

An album for ropey gays of all ages.

This album is still mostly a complete gas, no question. The flamboyant, phoney, desperate carnage can't always conjure an immense galaxy of pop finery, but she still leaves quite the trail with her peaks. My top 8 here are absolutely airtight. And one of them she had the audacity to leave off.

Coming for and inside Uranus:

16 Sexxx Dreams
16 Applause
15 Do What U Want
15 Brooklyn Nights
14 Donatella
13 Artpop
12 Venus
11 Gypsy
09 Fashion

Pink pound pop:

07 Mary Jane Holland
07 G.U.Y
07 Aura
06 MANiCURE

Pink eye pop:

-1 Jewels N Drugs
-2 Swine
-5 Dope

And of course Katy isn't big - I mean, she only had two number ones in the last two years and sure, she played the Superbowl, but that's nothing compared to doing the ITUNES FESTIVAL right?!?!?

Sorry guys. I was wrong (but like, right, without realising it back then with the benefit of foresight) - Katy Perry is not big. :(

Stream Daisies!!!

I love when a post ages like milk.

Anyway, Stefani finally acknowledged this album yesterday, after eight years of erasure. She wants her own #justiceforGlitter moment, of course.

One day this album will be spoken of in the same breath as Thriller and Purple Rain.

We need ARTBOP, The Torn Buss Edition to help us ease out of the pandemic

It’s just so dumb to even THINK about posting something like that. I wish him an ounce of luck.

We never thought we'd get the original version of Loverboy. So you never know.

Gaga had a #1 album and single last year so, with respect - she ain't Mimi

Today's kitsch is tomorrow's antique.

Still on show for me are Sexx Dreams, Donatella and Applause - they just have a certain Gaga glaze I want spurted all over me with as little dignity as possible.

Yeah, I still get on all 4s by this if not stand.

The album's bangers are a belt of bullets being fired that no one's safe from (the only place to hide was the charts).

Imagine my horror when I sahsay into this thread and find you cumdumps talking about "Loverboy" comparisons and a "Chromatica Christmas" album. Not a single God-fearing gay from the lot of you.

Has this album's time arrived then? Has lockdown boredom made people return to it and some sort of Stockholm Syndrome has kicked in? It wasn't that long ago that we were practically tripping over piles of this CD in the streets so it would be quite funny if it became a slow-burn treasure.

I've got the instrumental version of ARTPOP on this morning and Aura is doing its very best to blow my speakers

What an EPIC NOISE :disco:
