Lady Gaga - The Chromatica Era

The full song has leaked in HQ. I just listened. I like it, but it really doesn't sound like a comeback single to me. It's very reminiscent of "Fashion of His Love".

Is it a final version, do we know? I'm not really here for demos.

Are we sure she didn't originally write this 9 years ago for the BTW album? :side-eye:

Another song ruined by the absence of a chorus. The verses and bridges are so good.

I'm sure she's already BACK IN STUDIO re-recording and taking all the best bits out for the FINAL version.

Fuck, I so wanted to be on board for new Gaga material. But that's not very good at all.

I'm hoping it's not new.

Maybe it's a decoy? Like a disposable buzz single. Or are am I overestimating Gaga?

It sounds like a rejected filler track that she didn't even bother to EDIT to at least make it sound current.

I think it’s pretty safe and joyful, and probably just what she needs tbh. It’s lively than The Cure, and I imagine will easily get onto every playlist imaginable alongside being made for radio.

Never Really Over is a much better song though, and I vastly prefer Gaga.

I think it's fantastic and exactly what she should be doing. I loved BTW and ARTPOP, but this sounds like something that could have the public firmly on board, it's just straightforward pure pop.

Surely this is some kind of leak from 2011. Not what I expected at all. I don't dislike it.

I would take outtakes like "No Way" over this any day.

It's a lot of fun for the New Year, but she's doing the German David Bowie voice on parts of it again.

It reminds me of The Fame and I miss that sound, so I'll tentatively give it an 8/10.

That second Imperial Era just won't let up

HERE'S MY WIG, JOANNE :disco: TAKE IT!

This song WISHES it was on Born This Way. It sounds unfinished and the production is a retread of Do What You Want. She better not release it as a lead single until she records an actual chorus for it.
