I adore it! And I actually quite enjoy the messy video— I’m hoping she releases an extended version of the song with the extra ad-libs and drama.

To be fair, her opinion that Trump is too oblivious to realize the implications of his dangerous behavior and influence is not a controversial opinion nor is it any different than what has been expressed on The View and other mainstream media outlets since the storming of the Capitol. I think the difference is that Lana lacks TACT in what she says, and was generally struggling to get her point across that entire interview. She isn't immune from criticism, I just don't think the punishment fits the crime.

With THAT SAID, she needs to CLEAN HER BEDROOM.

She went on to say that she thinks he's mentally unwell and used the term "delusions of grandeur". Still not the best thing to say but she didn't quite mean how it sounds in isolation.

I remember that her being a twenty something just starting out, writing and singing songs referencing herself as a Lolita and being every man's desire, singing about having a "daddy" who would pimp her out or buy her presents all the time (preferably a RED dress) and roaming around California recklessly did raise a couple of red flags but I always assumed she was getting into character :(

Well, where does Elizabeth end and Lana begin? Bowie drove himself properly mad by being Ziggy and The Thin White Duke rather than just David Bowie (which wasn't his name to start with). It's a tough gig being a full time character. Lana's lost touch with the world around her which is fixable. Bowie ended up keeping his wee in the fridge to ward off witches.

I gave it a first listen just this evening. It didn't instantly grab me, but Lana songs often take a few spins to get their hooks in. I'll report back!
 
I like the song. The video doesn't fit with it at all - if it's part of a series that unfolds, OK, we'll see.

As much as she's shown at least one cheek of her arse, we're not exactly in Morrissey territory yet, unless I've missed a meeting.
