Lana Del Rey - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd (24 March 2023) (1 Viewer)

Can’t wait to hear this after work. :disco: any song from her catalog it’s similar to? A supposed insider was comparing the first half to White Dress and second half to T Swift’s Cruel Summer (intro to CS)

The production picks up at the second part of the song (Jimmy) and I know where they are coming from with the Cruel Summer reference; it sounds like something off Born to Die , beefy melodies, mumble rap and beats.

I mean LOOK AT MY HAIR, look at the LENGTH OF IT AND THE SHAPE OF MY BODY

:disco:

the vocal on part one is kinda like White Dress, very high. but not the song. it starts with acoustic guitar and becomes fuzzier/more electronic rock.

JUST ABANDON WORK AND GET HOME RIGHT NOW

I think this is going to end up my 2nd favorite Lana album (after NFR)

The second half would be great for a walk in the city at night

I seem to have lost interest in LDR despite my lifelong commitment to liking artists who rarely vary their sound to a significant extent - can anybody recommend anything recent (or -ish) which might correct this state of affairs? Bear in mind that my favourite LDR album is Honeymoon :eyes:

Have you listened to the Norman Fucking Rockwell album?

The previously unheard Blue Banisters album is working for me and just look at that cover art :disco:

Now onto my slightly obsessive sixth play in a row of Violets for Roses :disco:

Now THAT’S how I like her. I mean it’s probably a rewrite of another one I like but I’ve never complained about Enya doing that :tongueout:

There is a subtle nod (or sample) to Norman Fucking Rockwell the song in the second half. :o

I really like it, it is like a demented "Venice Bitch". I need a video.

brilliant figures. hopefully adds the same today with a full day. this looks likely to perform at least on par with Tunnel based on this debut...
