Ive just got the English language "Lara Fabian" album off secondspin. Just playing it now. Her voice is VERY Celine, hope its not ALL big ballads, though I bet it will be.

Her vocal tendency to me is very Celine Dion. Especially in "I Will Love Again".

One of my best friends is a huge fan. "Tango", "Je suis malade" and "Imortelle" are all great songs. She's much better when she sings in French IMO. But "Walk Away" from the new album is lovely.

I don't know, but she seems to suffer a little when she hits high notes. Either that or she's way too emotional on stage.
I know many people said she's desperate to be like Celine Dion but the gal has grown up & she's totally diffrent to what she used to be before. I like her better now.

Oh, that French covers album was one of the more repulsive things I've heard all year! Non-stop OTT caterwauling over flimsy backing tracks that ALL sound as if they were made in five minutes with Casio presets circa 1991, with pretentious liner notes (personal thank you 'letters' addressed to the original singers of the songs ) to boot.

Still, the "Soleil soleil" video gave us plenty of comic relief, with the Justine Hénin and Nana Mouskouri cameos. Particularly the latter pushing her way through the crowd just to snog Lara at the very end
