VERY loose remake of the original story.

Utterly ridiculous in every way, the
toenail cutting scene
made me wince but it was also inappropriately amusing at times too.

Infinitely better than the Tom Cruise Mummy film too, but that was a pretty low bar.

Enjoyed the first half but as soon as it turned into an Evil Dead film I lost all interest.

I find it hilarious that Lee Cronin is apparently such a household name now that his name needs to be included in the film's title. (And yes, I know it's because of the upcoming mummy film with Brendan Fraser. And I've seen The Hole in the the Ground and his Evil Dead film.)

Jesus, this really did just turn into The Evil Dead by the end. 4/10, but it could have been a 6/10 it it wasn’t 133 minutes long

Yeah it was quite bad but made me chuckle a few times, in particular any scene involving the grandmother. I liked the Egyptian cop woman as well.
Jack Reynor, who was very good as the douchey asshole boyfriend in Middommar, really phoned it in here though.
