I don’t understand what the HELL has gone on with them through this album campaign as they seemed to release the album then DISAPPEAR.

Anyway, a new song sampling Soul II Soul - Back To Life is out today and #1 on iTunes.

It's good, but doesn't go anywhere and is weirdly short.

I don't know how it will do (itunes is hardly an indicator today) but it feels a bit like their commercial peak is in the rearview
 
Yes I agree about it being good but it could take it up a notch near the end or something
 
I had to listen to Soul II Soul immediately after to cleanse myself.
 
Do we think they'll be smart enough to know when the game is up? I'd hate to see them doing reality TV for cash.
 
I don’t mind it you know. I am thinking it sounds very Summery, and would not be surprised if it is HUGE.
 
Whilst they certainly seem to be in the doldrums commercially at the moment, I still can't help but feel it's entirely of their own volition.

They seem to have no interest in making mainstream pop music with broad appeal (i.e. Black Magic) and yet if they DID, I think they would quite easily be successful again.
 
I think this is going to be huge TBH, it's just what commercial house music has been doing for a while and doing it through a pop music lens.
i mean this is barely even a SONG.

Interesting how quickly they ditched the last album. They openly HATED Woman Like Me and then they mysteriously left SyCo.
 
1.3m plays on Spotify first day - that's more than God Control and Faz Gostoso combined :disco: c'est officially a hit!
 
I suspected it would be BIG. It sounds very current, and what the kids lap up these days.
 
It seems unlikely that this bilge is what they really want to be doing considering how much they obviously hated Woman Like Me.
 
They didn't hate Woman Like Me, they just got strong armed into making it the single and resented that.

Opens at #17 on spotify UK. Taylor Swift (who is at #2 behind them on iTunes) is #10.
 
#17 is good for Spotify? I suppose it’s better to wait and see if it holds up.
 
It's a great debut. Even most big US acts don't debut that high in the UK.
 
Yeah I think that debut says that enough people are still interested in them

Although they did have top billing on the New Music Friday playlist which will have contributed to that
 
This is really LAZY but kind of clever at the same time, I think should be huge.

I am losing track with them though, wasn't the lead single from their last album only last summer?
 
Falls to #30 on spotify UK. But I believe that's relatively normal. Now down to #3 on iTunes.

Is a top 10 debut out of its grasp?
