Yes, Shayla heavily recalls Picture This, but I've no problem with a band recycling something that majestic, to be brutally frank. I wouldn't have blamed them if they thought 'fuck that, we've perfected the pop song, why write anything else?' after producing Picture This.

My ex had reissued versions of all the classic Blondie albums with write-ups from the producers in the liner notes, which this quote may be from. He didn't hold back from pointing out they were off their rockers.

It must have been quite something to witness Blondie, Fleetwood Mac and various other 70s rockstars OFF THEIR TITS while firing on all creative cylinders. Maybe there are not enough drugs involved in the creation of music anymore.
