Local Elections 2026: How are you voting?

(This may actually work in our favour here if enough of them peel off from the Tories to let us in through the middle, but it’s still hard to suppress my urge to :manson:)
 
We had two votes but only one Green candidate and no other left-wingers, so I went for him and then the incumbent Labour lady who knocked on my door on Sunday. I have no issues with my local Labour council and she seemed very nice and hard-working so I decided against punishing her for Starmer being a thundercunt. :)
 
I do feel bad not voting Labour, they're a decent bunch here and several them work really visibly hard.

There's a big estate in the city that always voted Labour who have a brilliant hands on councillor, one of the actual good ones. I fear he might lose tonight to Reform.
 
There was one independent here and I thought the name sounded familiar so googled him - it's THIS CUNT!

(He is also ASFM alumna Biig Piig's dad, but I don't think she's also a cunt)
 
My ward is unlikely to swing from Labour and I don't expect the council to change either. I did nearly vote for them in a panic WHAT ABOUT REFORM way but I think/hope that it'll be safe enough I can vote with my lefty snowflake green heart.
 
Labour remind me of my old boss back in the cutthroat world of corporate.

He was a loyal employee, worked hard, kept his head down, and focused on getting the work done. Didn't play games and refused to play along with all the sycophantic opportunistic plays, even when a younger equivalent came in who would totally step on his neck. He was made redundant in a restructure. The younger one took his job. He made a complete fucking mess of the department.
 
Yes there are good, hard-working Labour councillors who will lose their seats through no real fault of their own. But then at the risk of sounding harsh, that isn't really the Green Party's fault or problem, is it? Our candidates are decent and hard working too (give or take a small smattering of loons, but every party has those).

There's been a lot of anger and resentment directed towards us from Labour locally, and I totally get it, but also it reeks of entitlement. Like, how dare we offer left-leaning voters a more inspiring option?!

Voted Green on the way home. Didn’t bother to look up who was best to vote tactically against Reform until now and it said I should’ve voted Lib Dem :eyes:
 
Voting Labour here.

In my area it's Labour versus a SNP candidate, whose campaign highlight was questioning the value in teaching kids reading, writing and maths since they have the internet and calculators. :eyes:
