Louise - Confession (single) + Confessions (TOP TEN ALBUM!)

The early stuff (bar some of the singles) is almost all DROSS, and some of the recent stuff is great. She does seem ridiculously nice and well intentioned.
 
I still adore Arms, Let’s Go Round Again and Naked. And I quite like the first two albums :disco:

I know objectively she was pretty Atomic Kitten esque, but there are far more bangers here

Not to go all Loose Woman, but it is lovely to see how happy she is these days. She seems to have suffered quite a lot towards the end of her marriage.

Is her whole album meant to be up on streaming? I’m able to listen to it despite it saying a release date in May 2025…
 
There are some really great songs on there… still very Louise but a few degrees in a new direction.
 
The last two albums both got to 11 so we have a duty to make this one go top ten.
 
Not that I expected it to be anywhere above the low hundreds, but the lack of New Music Friday combined with the album release snafu last night makes me worried that her team might not be 100% on it in terms of the rollout. Now granted, it's only ever going to sell to a fairly niche and predominantly built-in audience, but I see it's coming out on Lil Lou Records, so I wonder if she's releasing this one without any major label backing? The Greatest Hits was released on BMG.

The tunes and the drive are obviously there, so it'd be a real shame to see it fizzle out on impact.
 
I suspect Robyn was just thrown out by the press release gay because it's electro pop marketed squarely at 30-40-something homosexuals. The direction is definitely more Kylie coded.

I feel like Confession's production actually has some of the Robyn esque continuous feel to the backing track, so I can hear it.

This could well be Lil' Lou's most ambitious album yet.

The youtube link was unlisted when I posted it. I think things are being sent out to the press in a slightly clunky way is all. Pleased it's got the Pingu seal of approval - I'm so excited about this in a way I wasn't for the last one.

I mean there can’t be much money in it, it must be a labour of love surely? Even the last studio album only generated about 2 million streams overall (on Spotify) and probably 1-2 weeks top 200 for the album…so I imagine there is no budget for any kind of actual promotion?

I’d say the money comes in from, her brand - albeit small - and possibly quite self-funded?
 
Oh it’s almost certainly bankrolled by the Jamie divorce millions (and BIG PEACOCK) :disco:

I was just hoping she might still have a distribution deal with BMG or some other label that specialises in acts of her ilk.
