There is a 30 track 'greatest hits' playlist on Spotify as her artist pick and under artist playlists. But if you look under her discography, you'll only find the GH Reimagined VoR refers to.

You asked for them and Louise delivered... to add to her 30th anniversay in Music Louise - The Greatest Hits & More edition includes all of Louise’s solo hits including Naked, 2 Faced, Arms Around The World, Let’s Go Round Again and Stuck In The Middle With You as well as new favourites Stretch and Lead Me on plus 4 brand new tracks including the latest smash Super Magic alongside 5 previously unreleased tracks from her unreleased 2003/2004 album. For the first time ever you can now own Bounce Back, Slam, Lil Lou, Make It Fit and Don't Ever Change as part of this special Louise store exclusive edition of the Greatest Hits.
 
Why is the title Bounce Back familiar? Was it a cancelled single or something?

Is it the Stacie Orrico song?
 
Yes Bounce Back is a Stacie Orrico cover. All of these seem to be from her aborted 2003 album sessions, she apparently had a whole album in the can, but after Pandora's Kiss underperformed and she had her first baby it never saw the light of day.

Well I downloaded the 5 'new' unreleased songs for research purposes

My favourite is Don't Ever Change which is a duet with a man who sounds like Lee Ryan and it has twinkly Jam & Lewis-esque kind of production FLOURISHES, or at least it reminds me of some Boyz II Men (!) stuff they did. I really like it but that doesn't mean it's good

Lil' Lou is a perky little acoustic guitar pop thing that sounds like loads of other things that I can't bring to mind right now. It's an 'I'm so great' song: "100 million naked girls outside your window babe, no I'm not worried - nothing else is better than this." Really quite BLAND but I like it

Make It Fit is a SEX JAM. "You make me drip" and so on. Not great.

Slam has this stop-start metallic production, quite annoying but there is a sexy sounding man saying SLAM so I do feel it's the precursor to modern classic STRETCH

Bounce Back is just the Stacie song again obviously with that jittery r&b production of the time. At least it's not a God one.
 
It's probably for the best that that album never came out really. Interesting to hear the songs, but clearly she was struggling to figure out where she fit into the pop landscape in 2003-4.
 
Well, just 3 nights in to the run with only one song to sing and Louise couldn’t be arsed to turn up tonight in the West End. Thankfully Darren Bennett resumed in a triple role and smashed it.

There’s nothing about illness or her absence on her or the show’s Twitter so maybe she just booked time off in the release week of the GH? 🥴
 
Booked time off in the first week :bruised: Anyway, as usual Darren Bennett knows a lot of the audience are there to see a “celebrity” and brings it 200% every night to win them all over. Every time as happened last year when Peter Andre was off, there’s a collective sigh when he’s not there and about 20 seconds in they realise they got the better deal.

It is Capaldi at #5, with 3,351 sales. Hopefully she's not too far behind.

If she is on about 3.3k, is about 5k realistic in total? I'm not sure how frontloaded the market is for albums so dependent on physicals.

I think 5k would usually get you just outside the top ten to the mid teens - but as we've said before, a few hundred sales can make a relatively big difference in terms of final position as sales are so poor across the board now.
 
She/her team have been quite savvy about booking signing events and releasing different versions of the album through the week, so we can hope…
 
Thought I'd have a look to see how well the CD is doing on amazon. #56 in the 'vinyls and cd' chart, but with so many various artists, multiple formats and pre-releases above it that it's doing a lot better than that seems. But this made me wonder - are sales really THAT shit in general on amazon now?

I'm a bit confused by the reimagined Light of my Life. It's LIVE but I didn't realise it was until she hit a high note and people started CHEERING :D

I think she should have people cheering when she hits the notes on all her songs :disco:
 
I thought that too!

It’s the least essential of the revamps for me, though I can see the intent behind it.

When is the cut-off point? It looks relatively hopeful for a top ten?
 
Cling on to the top 10 Louise (and top 5 for you Sophie).

I returned home from a month working away and discovered the deluxe cd waiting for me. Clearly a wine night order I’d forgotten about but the tracklist does look very good.

Seeing her plugging away on insta is quite sweet - getting those signings in for those extra sales and in and out of radio studios and tv studios despite being the first week of Grease. 90's/early 00's promo ethic and I am here for it :disco:
