Love Island

I missed all the early seasons, but decided to start season 2 alongside the current one. The guys are very tasty in this season.

This one is indeed very good. I thought it had finished peaking, but it picked up again.

Connor is the most boring contestant I can think of in a long time like. Megan's forced laughter is going right through me too like.

They really kept the bland meet the families for day 2 then. Hopefully they'll whizz through them. Watching on a delay. Made it up to Connor being amazed that his mum has watched every episode - groundbreaking.

Still a couple of episodes behind but MY GOD. I can’t remember any season of Love Island or any reality show being quite this good when reaching the finale.

I don't really like Meg, but anytime she presents anything resembling a concern to Dajion she's met with the response that she's "trying to make me look bad". Hasn't she pegged on that this is never going to change?

I really thought the bland couple (guy with suspicious fringe and girl who you'd not be surprised if it turns out she was cousins with Heidi Range or Rachel Stevens) would have been voted out by now.

Glad Megan and Connor are gone, their belief that they were big characters I couldn't take anymore. The way Meg turned on Megan and then hugged her was more rotten than that American girl even accuses her of being.

Oh and the guy Yaz is with is just gorgeous. I don't see that lasting ever, but do love him opening his heart and her just deadpanning "same" every 3 seconds throughout.

The fact Megan (and Blu ugh) were even brought back was ridiculous with zero reason why, and low and behold, they were both booted out the second there was a public vote!

I would wager they won’t be bringing back any dumped islanders in the future.

I was team YasGPT & Jamie for the win and was surprised they came third but so glad for Toni & Cache over Shakira & Harry. While I really liked Shakira, Harry is an awful man and it would have been terrible if he won.

Sunday night's episode was a classic :disco: Andrada was a star and rightfully put Mug & Dejon in their place.

Roll on All Stars 3 in January!

Over the moon at the Toni & Cach win. I loved Toni from the start, and Cach seems like an absolute sweetheart.

Shakira getting back with Harry probably stopped her taking the crown as Harry is complete TWAT. Shakira is an absolute darling though and STUPIDLY PRETTY.

Best season in quite some time and it seems to have picked up traction as it has gone on. Usually the last fortnight in Love Island is a wind down from the previous series peaks but this was the season that kept giving.

Fabulous work ITV.

Oh good god, this opening episode is 100 minutes long. I was looking forward to having a shower and heading to the gym early tonight.

I don't sound anything like this West Lothian girl (where I'm from). I guess I'm international. I also sense she and the Liverpool girl are exaggerating their accents to make a faster impression above the others.

No idea how I survived such a long episode. Their initial chats are always so excruciating, no one's even asking who's top or bottom.

Good god at this melted cabbage patch doll George. Can't see any guy feeling threatened by that.

The new guy looks like an 80s East German tennis player. I wonder if I would be tempted by him being a footballer, like a machiavellian girl would. And wear a sunset to seal the seal.

The cast seem decent so far and I can already sense there'll be some drama between them.

I can imagine they'll dump the quieter ones as it'll surely be producer driven.

The blond footballer basically bitching about the other guys is certainly welcome storyline seeds being planted, and it seems to be just who he is rather than being a professional reality TV star.

Seems to have done well despite an initial live ratings decline.

Love Island UK Series 12 (Summer 2025) premiered to a live audience of approximately 1 million viewers, marking a 33% drop in live TV ratings from the previous summer season. However, the series ultimately performed exceptionally well as the biggest ITVX series since its launch, with streaming numbers and catch-up views bringing multi-platform figures up to 2.6 million for the premiere.

Ooh, this is quite GOOOOD. Usually it is very negative press after the first episode saying how poorly it is doing compared to previous years.

Should have guessed this steaming pile would have brought you back :D

I thought we were getting a secret hideaway - totally missed a fantastic opportunity, I hope they re-visit it in the future.

I've no idea about George. I might be an episode behind..

I don’t think it’s been shown on tv yet although I am also still an episode behind.

What outlets are you hearing this hot gossip on? I think that's why I can't escape moopy as I have no other source of all the important pop culture stuff :D

Yes he has gone and it won't be addressed on the show apparently, and it was for 'personal reasons'.

The show is getting panned in the media for lack of diversity. It does kinds smack of it when there are TWO black people, and OF COURSE they are shoved together.

Yes, we have two black people who CHOSE to couple up together. They weren’t “shoved together”, as nobody else had a say on it. It is incredibly laughable that you have picked up on this lazy journalism as I think this season is the most multicultural for quite some time. :D

The first week was great but I've found the last couple of episodes a bit boring. Tomorrow does look good but they need some games to stir it up and honestly a couple more dumpings as there are some islanders getting zero airtime (Fitzy and Lola who have already gone exclusive, would love them to get dumped as I believe Fitzy is playing a game).
