Why has I Will Love Again been rewritten please? Why not just sing I Will Love Again? Did she want a WRITING CREDIT? Even Lara Fabian didn't get a writing credit.

This is an insult to the rest of the pop toilet quite frankly. Not even KATY PERRY should share space with L*l*'s effluence.

Not the dance-Flora anthem she thinks she's bagged herself. Lara is an unbeatable force and K-Lo's forghorn plus beats beats you black and blue, but treats you to a chippy on the way home. Lulu trulu is the queen of insincerity and one of the things I'm truly proud to be Scottish is because everyone hates her up here. The "ugh" reaction is universal though. Who the hell does she think she is even going near this let alone re-writing it?

What were the main charges against her? Or was this mostly based on jealousy for getting with Jason Orange?
 
This is all feeling very AI. Something very uncanny valley about the video as well. The way the audience suddenly stand up hooting and hollering at 0:51. It's all just WEIRD and DISGUSTING.
 
I had the misfortune of hearing her in the car on Sunday afternoon when she was presenting Sounds of the 70s on Radio 2. I lasted about 10 seconds before I yelled "oh FUCK OFF LULU!".
 
The thing about Lulu is at last with Cilla there are like 2-3 genuinely great songs - Step Inside Love, I've Been Wrong Before, It's For You - but Lulu - N O T H I N G. The devil gave her nothing but lungs.
 
I prefer The Man Who Sold The World, To Sir With Love and her version of I Don't Wanna Fight to anything Cilla lent her disgusting whisper honk range to.

Although I do quite like Something Tells Me (Something's Gonna Happen Tonight). Almost certainly because I've never heard anyone else sing it.
 
Jon Dixon of Almighty also did a stellar job on "Where the Poor Boys Dance." Maybe he could even rescue this new song (or rewritten old song, to be more accurate).

Lulu has lots of great stuff, as does Cilla before George Martin jumped ship. I love all the Brit Girls, even Sandie Shaw.
 
I prefer Sandie's singing in the 1980s over the 1960s. More mellow, better control. The material wasn't really there, though. If Shirley Bassey heard that note at 1:28, "She doesn't have the range" would have been coined decades before "Goldeneye." Sandie - or rather, Adam Faith - deserves props for financing her own sessions and leasing the masters to Pye Records, but the flipside is that the productions are sometimes thin - not up to the standard of what George Martin could and did rustle up for Cilla.

Speaking of Helen Shapiro, she appeared in a radio interview with Sandie, Petula Clark and Jackie Trent back in 2012. Sandie shows some sense of humour but is nevertheless a brat pretty much throughout. She brings up how Jackie Trent once tried to drown her. And after that interview, and others, I may be Team Jackie. Helen, on the other hand, has manners but does comes across a little "Eyeore," perhaps unsurprisingly. Petula is classy throughout.
