Muchly maligned for years, they've had a bit of a revival in my heart as left wing icons. I've become at ease with their descent into bland hopeful ballads and general overplay back in the 1990s.

Their big bops were all pretty essential and this, recently misused by Lettuce Liz, was their biggest.

But WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I loved them at the time. This has suffered from overplay, but is still a great song.

Their version of Don't look any further is amazing.

Yeah, I loved that one. It really went downhill with Search For The Hero.

I loved their first two albums but by the massive "Bizarre Fruit" it was just soulless pap designed to appeal to the biggest audience possible. They felt like the ultimate sell outs. All the songs sounded the same and her voice became VERY grating too. I went to see them live on the tour to support Elegant Slumming even, but rarely has an artist collapsed as much for me and I cannot think I've put one of their studio albums on in well over 25 years.

Having said all of that, a good few years ago, I picked up their Greatest Hits brand new and sealed for 50p in a charity shop and actually quite enjoyed the one spin I gave it, more for nostalgia than anything else.

"Movin' On Up" is something I absolutely adored at the time, but I never need to hear it ever again. It annoys me now more than anything else, hence my vote.
