this deserves its own thread. she really has delivered again, this is just so much fun *.*

i'm going to pretend the new rules aping video never happened and she's still the lovely super fresh, super cool girl from thinking of you.

Love this! Hope a proper big hit, “Fine line” and “Ring ring” should have been HUGE

It seems like this is going to be the one that is her big breakthrough. Number 7 this week.

I think it is very good and I am pleased, but it's interesting - I wonder why this is apparently connecting so much more than her equally excellent singles from last year.

the last one wasn't as great. but Fine Line was really good and it did stick around a long time didn't it?

I like this a lot but it does feel a touch dated in terms of having that tropi bop sound. it's like a track from Dua's debut

it's like 3 years old but I would not be mad if they re-released this next - it's so good

this is looking like becoming her big breakout hit everywhere - it's already top 30 on global Spotify and doing good numbers in the US. It's grown on me a lot.

up to 3 in the mids (previous peak #5) :disco:

WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR THIS SONG?

I absolutely love this, and was also addicted to Fine Line.

@ameraal ahead of the curve as ever. :disco:

Love this too, should be big - it's so Dua Lipa

Also, I may have been living under a rock, but had no idea she was Neneh Cherries daughter :o

now properly exploding - 11 on global Spotify

I had no idea she was so much FUN. much more so than dreary old Dua

She does seem wonderful, though you would hope that the daughter of Neneh Cherry had rather more about her than dead eyed Dua.

I am very pleased to see Mabel carrying on the fantastic legacy of her Mother.

I made it sound like she’s dead, sorry.

You know what I mean.

album High Expectations out July 12

01. High Expectations (intro)
02. Bad Behaviour
03. Don't Call Me Up
04. FML
05. We Don't Say
06. Selfish Love
07. Lucky (interlude)
08. Mad Love
09. Trouble
10. Put Your Name On It
11. Stckhlm Syndrome (interlude)
12. OK (Anxiety Anthem)
13. I Belong to Me
14. High Expectations (outro)

deluxe:

15. Finders Keepers
16. Fine Line
17. My Lover (with Not3s)
18. Ring Ring (with Jax Jones & Rich the Kid)
19. Cigarette (with RAYE and Stefflon Don)
20. Not Sayin'

I suppose four years old is a bit much, and in terms of sound My Boy My Town in particular is a bit different to her more recent stuff. Floppy One Shot didn't make the deluxe singles mop up either.

Obsessed with this three months later

I love the video too. The choreo is great and she’s a lot more charismatic than someone else I could mention

Plus her Dad made One Touch :disco:

Mad Love is just OK. It doesn't have the feel of a big hit or a single good enough to launch the album. That video is ludicrously cheap.

Yes it is enjoyable but a bit by the numbers. Hopefully there is more interesting stuff on the album.

i like it and i hope it grows cause as others have said it feels a bit by numbers. the best thing about it is that it doesn't drop into the word free chorus hell du jour.

Mad Love is probably my favourite song at the moment. So infectious.

Up to #8 in last weeks chart.

I just discovered this girl after hearing Don't Call Me Up in a shoe shop earlier and Shazaming it! Really love that and Mad Love. Just the kind of music I wish Little Mix were making.

thought this was a dua lipa song until today.

i’m so out of touch with new music, i’m fucking OLD.

i still haven't gotten quite enough of mad love but they've thrown out one more - bad behaviour.

the style is getting even more suspect but it's a bop [/pipo].

Bad Behaviour sounds like fine album track fare to me - I assume it isn't intended as a proper single with a video like that.

The album is only £8 to preorder signed on Amazon. I have bitten, but can only assume someone got a bit carried away with how many signed copies were going to be required.

Bad Behaviour is fantastic. Much better than Mad Love. The verses have such a groove going on :disco:

that’s my sexy summer track right there

everybody dance around me, dance around me :disco:
