I Rise is out now in NZ - 90 sec clip

Sounds perfectly solid but nothing spectacular

Crave, which is out next Friday, is the official second single

That is seriously GOOD. I think I may even prefer it to Medellin, which I have gone off quite a bit now.
 
Totally different in style to Medellin too. So is the new album going to be a bit of a mish mash then?

Not really impressed on first listen. Much prefer Medellin.

This sounds faceless and filler.

Sure it will grow
 
It’s not bad, but it doesn’t excite me like Medellín did. But then it’s a grat track, it’s not a single...
 
this has grown on me quite a lot

the middle 8, final chorus and big vocoder outro are really very good indeed

It's like a Rebel Heart track but done well
 
I think my brain must work the opposite of everyone else's.

Medellin took a few listens to work for me - I thought it was tuneless and dull on first listen.

This was totally instant to me and sounded much more like a single. Her voice sounds better, the guitar riff is great, the vocal harmonies are great as it builds up.

This is shaping up to be a great project.
 
Disclaimer: I do love Medellin now. (Does everyone else hate it now?)
 
Oh definitely. Cwej is one of my all time favourites! Have you ever met him Bev? I met him once over ten years ago. He was a charmer. But he fancied my friend and that was that.

I like this way better than Medellin. There's a really nice chant-like quality to it that I always attribute to Madonna. Similar to Frozen.

The autotune production is still kinda bad, but the tune is much more interesting.
 
This is quite nice and the chorus is catchy but I'm not yet in a gay coma over it. I don't think it's as good as Wash All Over Me to compare with her most recent closer.

Anyway we're talking 10+ years ago now. My memory's also a bit hazy!
 
This does not sound like a single AT ALL :D

I think she sounds good on it. Almost a bit unrecognisable in the first verse.
 
It's a solid album track. I don't love it, but it's nicely helping to build my optimism for the album.
