Parent company of Sunrise. The speculation that the Sunrise brand would be launched appears to have been ill-founded. For now, anyway.
 
Airlines do appear to be fucked at the moment. I can't trust any smaller airlines (unless my insurance is very good)

I went to Giraffe once and thought it was shit.

My only other knowledge about Giraffe is that a mental patient tried to bomb one years back.
 
Giraffe was started by Tesco but they sold it off because they didn't think it could turn a big enough profit (IIRC)>

Generally it's the kind of out-of-town shovel-and-feed nonsense I refuse to go anywhere near (see also: Chiquitos, Bella Italia, TFI Fridays, frankie and benny's etc etc etc)

Ah, OK. This was in the period where Tesco were aiming for world domination before the got done for false accounting (basically) at which point they shut down and sold off a whole load of stuff. So I was never quite sure what they'd started and what they'd bought.
 
Every time I’ve tried to go to Giraffe it’s been overrun by rampant children like a playground, so I just turn around and go elsewhere.
 
I think I've only ever been to Giraffe whilst in an airport, and you're not exactly expecting great food there anyway.
 
Nipped into House of Fraser the other week for a piss and a flick through the mink coats - little Phoebe’s birthday’s coming up :disco: - and oh dear me. As I’m sure has been reported elsewhere, it was like being in Sports Direct. All manner of low class so-called GOODS which you’d ordinarily find THERE and none of the high quality couture brands to which I’ve become accustomed. Hopefully my deliberately pissing on the floor will teach them a thing or two :disco:
 
On a positive note, it was inevitably a bit roomier than Sports Direct
 
I hope PUMPKIN goes out of business as well. Rarely a pleasant experience. They may well be on 75p a day but a smile costs NOTHING!
 
That's yer Debenhams by the looks of it - shares suspended at their own request after Mike Ashley's "offer", which had the non-negotiable element that he became chief executive, was knocked back.
 
Debenhams going would leave a huge hole here. Not that I'd miss them for shopping, but the store does offer a convenient short cut when it's raining.
 
Debenhams occupy a 5 story building on Argyle Street in Glasgow - it would be a huge deal if that closed. No-one would move into it - not even Primark.
 
Just can't believe this awful news. Where else am I going to go for a displeasingly dry bun and up to the minute fashions?
 
Primark already moved in to the huge ex John Lewis store (when they moved to the out of town shopping centre) next door to Debenhams. I can't imagine anyone else taking the store. We already have House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols - we simply do not need three department stores. Or even arguably one - they really do feel like an outdated institution, despite both of them being sparkly new stores.
 
They are terribly démodé. Who needs department stores when you can sit indoors ordering your pants, clogs and dishwashers online while watching a load of bollocks on Netflix and calling your favourite celebrities cunts to the face on Twitter? :disco:
 
Good LORD. The high street really is as dead as a dodo isn’t it? Are we going to have anything other than Primark, Poundland,betting, and charity shops in 10 years time?
 
I was in the House of Fraser in Swindon (don't judge me) last week fingering their briefs and noticed Lonsdale pants in the racks.
