I've noted with interest that the old St. Michael M&S clothing range is suddenly ALL THE RAGE with resellers and on Vinted and the suchlike.

I've put a £100 pair of pyjamas on my birthday list to my horror. I want LUXURY ones without them being INSANE. Abercrombie & Fitch loungewear used to be great, but they seem to have stopped doing it.

I find Gilly Hicks to be both reasonably priced and extremely comfortable

I excitedly bought a pair of pre-tied slip on Sketchers tennis shoes and when I got home I nearly cried BUT they are great for work :D
 
I for one definitely believe that Jamie Redknapp can't wait to slip into his hands free Slip-In Skechers of a morning. Just like Michael Owen and his Peacocks jeans.
 
My best gay friend, who isn't and hasn't ever been TRENDY but likes to think he is and likes to be flashy, suddenly brought out a pair of Skechers six months ago and tried to convince us they were this FASHION FORWARD brand. Oh we mocked him MERCILESSLY and STILL DO. I mean, they were my Mother's favourite shoes. :D :(

Oh it's OWNED by Abercrombie and Fitch. They've obviously just ciphoned off their loungewear into new branding.

A lady at work complemented me on my TRENDY M&S knitwear, and said something about they had hired some fashion people from younger-based stores, hence why their stuff has a slightly more fashionable edge than it did a decade ago.

Probably a load of hogwash, but it made me feel :disco:

They’re part of A+F. Sold in Hollister, or have their own stores in Manchester and London or online ofc

Claire's has had a closing down sale for what seemed like months, so it's not really a shock. The one in Leeds was always busy when I went by.
 
That's what happens when people start buying their tat online instead of in stores, I guess.

My first bank was with Halifax when I was in primary school, I had a cute plastic little house money box I would take into school and there was someone who would write in my book how much I had in my account.
 
I would argue that Halifax is more trusted brand among a certain type of customer. Classic "we need to find cuts **somewhere**" decision. Silly sods.

Which bank was it that had the literal PIG (IN NAPPIES) piggy banks? Barclays?
 
When the new 5ps came out I managed to blag my dad and uncles to give me theirs every time they came out. Filled the badboy. Felt like a king.
 
I literally had no idea that Lloyds owned Halifax. I guess this was from a time when banks and building societies were considered distinct (I'm sure I remember a time when building societies didn't even have cash machines)
