So I have the album in HQ.

"Can You Hear Me" makes me want to WEEP. Maybe not the greatest song, but she sounds beyond magnificent! I love the early 90s production too. It's probably just me, but I adore this sound.

The original "Loverboy" is very cute. It totally works with the "Firecracker" sample. I think I still prefer the version we ended up with, but maybe that's just because I'm so used to it.

"All I Live For" is a super cute, but ultra dated, catchy uptempo bop! Fabulous vocals obviously! It's adorably cute in that early 90s way.

"One Night" starts off as an acoustic piano ballad with LOTS of layered Mariah background vocals, and then a simple beat kicks in after about a minute. A midtempo, catchy bop.
 
"I Pray" is a standard, gospel ballad. Doesn't quite soar like her best gospel stuff does. Very pleasant indeed though.
 
"Mesmerised" is probably my least favourite so far, but it could be a grower. More of a funky, full live band feel to it and lots of layered background vocals. Mostly airy vocals, but some belting chest voice as it goes on and some whistle notes towards the end too. Just not crazy on the actual melody yet.

"Cool On You" is a fairly sparse, "Shake It Off"-esque track(to my ears anyway). Cute refrain throughout of "Ain't No Comin' Back From That. Kick Rocks. Eat Dirt." Bet this one will be a real grower.
 
"Lullaby of Birdland" is so much better than I'd expected. Because it's latter day live vocals, I was a little worried, but she sounds gorgeous.
 
"Here We Go Around Again" is probably my favourite. So timeless. It has all the bounce and effervescence of the debut album, with that Jackson 5-ish sound. Such a cute, ultra catchy melody. Her vocals are insanely good. So powerful and elastic. It's an undeniable gem. So pleased we have it.

Adorable bit at the finish when she says "The ending was a bit iffy". No, it was feckin' amazing actually!

I've waited YEARS for FIRECRACKER, theres no way I'm going to sleep. I still cannot fathom that in less than 30 minutes I will hear it. Gay fan fic that came true!!!

Lambs... We really are a breed of our own. It got iffy for a few years but from Caution, the 19th number 1, the MC30, the book and now the Rarities. I kinda feel emotional.

It is easy to forget Disk 2 when we are being fed such rarities. But having that on streaming is going to be something too.
