I love the verses. Particularly the second. The ‘now I guess it’s just forever til the 12th of never’ is delivered :disco:

It’s giving novelty but yes, I’m glad the fans are enjoying it.

The verses actually will take me a bit of getting used to… she’s doing the speak-singing that I’m not a fan of, reminds me of Rihanna’s style of singing, which I don’t mind but on Mariah it’s a bit of a swerve. I need a couple more listens to tune into that I think. But the lyrics are so much fun.
 
Yeah vocally she sounds very different to me, but I haven’t listened to her since #Beautiful so I guess that makes sense.

I think I like it? Kind of? I can’t tell really.

It's smooth af, both the production and the writing. Every line is practically a read :disco:. I do wish the chorus had a bit more punch but it's incredibly fun to listen to. She sounds unbothered and EMANCIPATED.
 
She is singing for where her vocal abilities are at today. That's good. She will always have been a God-tier vocalist 1990-1996.
 
I haven’t been knocked sideways and unable to continue with my day by this but it’s pretty good. I wish it were longer and it needs more of a chorus but am enjoying the verses. It’s great to have her back though and definitely interested in a new album.
 
The verses are a HOOT

They don't know the meaning of water nor soap

She sounds good and smooth on the chorus too. It does peter out a little at the end, but a successful return.

She was so pissed off about how the label released Caution so this seems like a good way forward. Also :disco: @ “multi-album”
 
She is a wonderfully witty songwriter and 'They Can't Take That Away'(TM) from her but musically this one isn't really for me. Her vocals are giving that slightly lobotomised energy I expect from Selena Gomez not Mariah Carey.

Bit confused that it's a J-Lo song though.
 
As long as the drought has been, I'm happy that the most influential female artist of the last 30 years (I said what I said) held out for a deal worthy of her talent and stature :disco:
