MAYHEM live / tour thread

OMG. I didn't update but wow this show was absolutely incredible.

way too many highlights to mention but Poker Face, Bad Romance and Born This Way were truly as euphoric and special as it gets. Born This Way was just... queening out to the max. her, me, 17k people in that arena. WHAT A SONG. also fantastic were LoveGame, Summerboy, Alejandro, Applause (ALL criminally shortened) - the staging on Summerboy is so sleek and sexy. the first act is obviously incredible but she burns through Scheisse, Aura etc so quickly, it could've used a moment to breathe.

if I have any critiques, I didn't enjoy Million Reasons or Shallow much and don't think they're good songs ANYWAY - I get a ballad breather, but Die With a Smile did that much better. so I would've cut those and maybe given full performances to Applause and Alejandro.

very minor though. she was electric. superb vocals at every turn - her voice has become so full, rich and elastic, there was barely a bum note anywhere. her stage presence is insane, but at the same time there is no aura of somebody untouchable - you feel her there. sounds crazy but it is almost like you really know her already. How Bad in the beanie get-up to close felt SO casual, fun and intimate. love her forever.

12/10 show. very jealous of anyone still to go - maybe i'll need to snatch tickets for the STADIUM LEG...

omg she did is Is That Alright on the piano tonight in Paris. baguettes won!!

Shaking crying vomiting ascending ***twirling*** and every other gay chat lounge superlative after last night's final Paris show

Dance In The Dark (Tell 'Em... Girls! Piano Remix) is her greatest song ever. I cried.

And so is Vanish Into You.

Nothing will ever go off in a live setting like queens getting their life to Born This Way.

And obviously for us ARTPOP truthers (the real ones, not the ones who "re-discovered" it when it became a thing on TikTok), the detours into Aura and Applause were just like rocket #9 blasting off to Uranus.

My stan card has been laminated since 2008 and it always will be <3

she also said this is her last euro date for A LONG TIME so maybe that alleged second leg in stadiums next summer is bullshit

I’m so happy for all of you who managed to get tickets and saw her for her last euro date for A LONG TIME :)

When I think about the Gaga shows I've seen, this edges the Chromatica Ball out of #1 for me - the source material is just better, as much as I adore Babylon, Free Woman and 911. Zombieboy was too much of a riot; Vanish and Abracadabra are career-best songs; and the deep cuts (Aura, Summerboy) were perfect stan-service.

That being said, in the Chromatica Ball's defence, the atmosphere of 90k+ people post-Covid during high summer canicule at Stade de France will remain forever engraved in my memory.

Both absolutely demolished the Cowboy Carter show, in any case.

1 The Mayhem Ball @ Bercy (2025)
2 The Chromatica Ball @ Stade de France (2022)
3 The Fame Ball @ Brixton Academy (2010)
4 The Monster Ball @ O2 (2010)

My greatest regret is not seeing the ARTRAVE :disco: I have never seen Venus or Artpop live, and this is a self-inflicted hate crime.

The ultimate gag will be when she finally gives us Do What U Want (Piano Version) with original solo second verse and the redemption arc will be complete

I've gone down a Brooklyn Nights rabbit hole and I think I'm about to put it in her all-time Top 10 songs. The way she's bringing back deep cuts at the piano and breathing new life into them this tour.

the Wiltern looks cool as a space. it will be interesting to see how that stage design (:disco:) fits into a theatre.

apparently it's not just a tour redux but a new one-off show and she's doing all of Mayhem front to back, similar to the Harlequin show

all four LA shows are being filmed by Sam Wrench, who directed the Eras Tour film. apparently sold to a streamer for later this year!
