Drum Machine was co-written by Melanie and Jon Shave. It’s the focus track and the next single from Sweat. It will be released this Friday alongside the album.

Music video sneak peek:

You see, it baffles me how THE Jon Shave, musician and songwriter, was able to give us a trashy GEM like Hot & Sexy and the sultry I Could Get Used To this, as well as the Sugababes' Shook (from the album coming soon!) but poor Mel gets this NOTHINGBURGER of a track.

And complain to the Guardian about having BOTTLES OF PISS thrown at her. I'M SAYING NOTHING

I suggest you get yourself a new pair of ears. šŸ˜

Poor Agony-ta. They're desperately looking for attention but failing to get any.

The music video premieres tomorrow. Set your reminder:

actually really very good!!! why did she sit on this so long? should've been first or second single. quite a major bopette.

Saw this elsewhere:

Tuesday midweeks
  1. Kneecap - 15,480
  2. Mel C - 14,213
  3. Michael Jackson - 12,765

It's all but guaranteed that with streaming Michael Jackson will end up at No.1 because neither Mel or Kneecap have the streaming numbers to compete.

Mel may overtake Kneecap with special editions, and signings.

Focus Track. I love that term :disco:
I guess in 'old money' that would be hit single, but in these mercenary times, with the charts chock full of (what sounds to me) like a lot of 'digital splat' for want of a better term - Focus Track will have to do. Looking forwards to the '20 Golden Focus Tracks' our heritage artists will be releasing in the near future.

The ones by Rita Ora and Kim Petras will be 40 tracks long :disco:

she's going to get 16k+ at this rate which is almost on par with what Jessie moved. I'm shook.

If this lands at #2 or #3, it’ll be her highest-charting album to date. I always thought Northern Star hit #2, but I was mistaken. Pretty impressive after 26 years.

I wonder how it’ll hold up for week 2? Better than Jessie one hopes - and I love Jessie but she was practically going around posting it through peoples doors herself. It was very discounted - I got the multi lollypop swirl vinyl with the actual Jessie comes and makes you breakfast version. She even paid for the sausages herself.

oh girl. this too will be a swift exit from the top 100+.
