Melodifestivalen 2020: Deltävling Four - Malmö

Will Victor really win the whole thing? I’d be more inclined to think Felix will clinch it.

I'd quite like Frida to get through as she was clearly having a marvellous time, but otherwise I am not that fussed.

I’ll probably listen to Brave a lot, but there isn’t anyway I can see that winning Melodifestival

If Sweden do ultimately send Victor, Sweden really do need to FUCK OFF and buck their dreary generic ideas up. An Avicii knock-off in 2020 and AFTER HE KILLED HIMSELF?

Bulletproof is OUT for us all to practice the weird eyebrow move in the mirror

I can't see anyone other than Dotter or Anna winning this. Surely they won't send Victor Crone with that one year after representing (badly) Estonia, no way. But if they do I pray for another NQ :)

AC duels for what it's worth:

Anis Don Demina vs. Ellen Benediktson & Simon Peyron
Malou Prytz vs. Paul Rey
Felix Sandman vs. Frida Öhrn
Mendez ft. Alvaro Estrella vs Drängarna

The first 3 are surely utterly foregone conclusions?

Wish they’d had the balls to put Felix against Paul

But to be honest, I couldn't care less about this shit, I'm more excited about Moopyvision results.

Why are The Mamas restricted to Sweden on Spotify :oi:

No-one else is interested and even the Swedes aren’t overly bothered :tongueout:

Dotter is doing well on youtube views now the finalists are online, she's substantially ahead of the other DTF's - Dr Anna and The Mamas are 2 &3.

Malou & Felix are the most viewed of the AC acts - both on over 300,000

Let's all enjoy Kingdom Come once again :disco:

Much as I love the staging, I have to admit Kingdom Come isn’t quite doing it for me on audio alone, whereas Bulletproof is AND THEN SOME

The instrumentation of the chorus sounds like a fantastic middle 8 or bridge and that's what's holding it back a little to me.

I think Dotter has this sewn up barring any last fortnight insanity.

Ok catching up on this. Overall another average semi. It really peaked in semi 2 which was so strong and there was just so much average in this one.

Predictably, I LOVE Hanna. Yeah, it's a bit basic, but it's catchy and JUST my cup of tea. She was a bit pitchy though, and the dress was a bit of a CHOICE, which is a shame, but overall it's my favourite song of MF 2020. In studio it's fantastic. Victor's song was alright but he really could not sing it. Though I can see how this country lite pop has its fans. Frida is a great performer and it was great to see her get through to AC, even though the song was not anything amazing, along with Ellen and Simon, which reminded me a bit of Shallow and they performed it really well. I don't see either going any further though in the competition. As for the others - both William and Jakob were going for the same market so it's no surprise to see them both fail. They weren't bad, and quite representative of some Swedish-language pop, but neither were that memorable. And then there's Nanne, poor, poor Nanne. I LOVE her but this was a fucking MESS. The heart dying halfway through the song said it ALL.

However I think Dotter probably is the front runner, but in studio it comes across a bit flat, and she's another one whose vocal wasn't perfect. Anna is a challenger, and I think she is MUCH better in studio. If it is out of those two I would prefer Anna.

Of the other qualifiers, just listening to the studio versions now - The Mamas are good, and I think could sneak a top 5 finish. Mariette is fine for what it is but she's not going to do that well. Mohombi is weak as fuck and he was lucky to be in a shit semi. Robin is alright, and is probably the best of the males this year.

The 4 AC heats are mostly a one horse race - Anis, Paul, Felix and Mendez will make it, I think.

I'm in a state of GENUINE CHAGRINED HORROR that Carpool Karaoke came seventh. I mean say what you fucking will but that was the most entertaining three minutes seen in the contest in absolute YEARS. Of COURSE it was cheap tat! That DIDN'T FUCKING STOP FUCKING FULDANS THOUGH SO WHY SHOULD IT HAVE STOPPED NANNE'S EVEREST-LEVEL HIGH CAMP?!?!

CUNTS!

It was fucking DIABOLICAL. And this is coming from someone who has SIX Nanne albums on CD. The whole thing was a complete disaster. I was DYING INSIDE for the poor lady for the full three minutes.

What do you mean diabolical? It wasn't about the TRACK! It was about ENTERTAINMENT!

I mean FOR HEAVENS SAKE THIS COUNTRY SENT LIVET PÅ EN PINNE TO FIFTH!

Edwards competition was a shitty Kikki Danielsson song and a trainwreck performance by Kamfedrops.

Anyway Nanne deserves all she gets for mentioning James fucking Corden in her song.

Nanne's competition was VILLAGE COMMUNITY CENTRE TALENT SHOW GOLD TASSELS FROM FRIDA ÖHRN AND THE REHEATED CORPSE OF AVICII FROM VICTOR CRONE!!!

I repeat - CUNTS!!!

The Nanne performance was supossed to be fun, madness, nonsense, entertaiment, and it was all that and more. Kala of all of Moopy not appreciating it is something I can't have, sorry. "Her vocals weren't technically perfect, says an unimpressed Kala". Right :side-eye:
