Melodifestivalen 2021: Deltävling One

Danny and Kadiatou are the faves to qualify according to the bookies.

Paul Rey and Arvingarna in 3rd and 4th. Jessica 5th. :(

Where did the odds place her in her heat in 2015/2018?

Oh! At some point could a Swedish speaker please post a voice note of how Andra Chansen is pronounced? It's a source of some debate in my bubble.

In wonderfully timed news, the first two Danny albums have FINALLY landed on Spotify worldwide.

Heart.Beats in particular is POPTASTIC

I imagine this will be a lockdown LIVE THREAD SPECTACULAR on Saturday.

Is it worth sending out a few tweets from the Moopy account and see if we can drum up some interest about our friendly gay chat lounge?

Fabulous! I’ll Be Over You is such a good opener - it reminds me of Melanie C’s Northern Star album for some reason

Is everyone forgetting that Jessica qualified from one of the weakest Melodifestivalen heats of all time in 2018?

Her 2015 qualification tracks slightly better but there was still that app controversy that was blamed for Molly Hammar missing out...

Aside from Rog Pontare, who would you want in this Melfest banner?

Jessica was saved by the app in 2015. Iirc both Molly and Elize & Rickard were bigger favorites to going direkt and basically every act got more app votes than the one before in the first SF. Elize & Rickard got the second most number of votes in the second round when there was less app votes.

Yes Jessica was 6th in the odds in that heat. Only Daniel Gildenlöw had worse odds if I recall so she was a shock qualifier.

A. I would vote for Jessica as well out of principle.
B. Don’t just assume I’m going to like a song because it has guitars in, even though you’d be correct to do so and I definitely will.
C. Arvingarna were my favourite in 2019, so if anything they’re the ones to worry about.

Yes, I'm also much more concerned about Avingarna and Jessan splitting their target group (GAY AND/OR AGING) into half. SIgh.

"I decided to do Mello because I had some spare time"...

Höhöhöhehehe.

I love her so much. She's been relatively gentle with the little facial tune-ups, too. Can't wait to see her win the whole thing with Lena Anthem in Mar-... anyways. Huge reason I'm looking forward to deltävling nummer 1.

Of possible interest - Nathalie Brydolf's track is from the same writers as Raylee - Hero

The main songwriter says Nathalie’s song is driven by a grand piano and orchestra, and is a slow-burner, and that going through Andra Chansen would be beneficial to it.

”One Touch”
I’m caught up in my dreaming
There’s something in the air
So good I’m barely breathing
Wait up I’m almost there

Lights and fireflies
My mind is on it’s
way up to the sky
So high up and I’m
dancing to the beat
The rhythm of the night

One touch
Is all I need
I take a dive into the deep blue sea
One touch
Is all I need
from you

But baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

Baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

It don’t mean that I don’t like you
It’s just the way I feel
There’s nothing that you can do
Cause I’m in it now for real (for real)

Lights and fireflies
My mind is on it’s
way up to the sky
So high up and
I’m dancing to the beat
The rhythm of the night

One touch
Is all I need
I take a dive into the deep blue sea
One touch
Is all I need
from you

But baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

Baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

Lights and fireflies
My mind is on it’s
way up to the sky

One touch
Is all I need
I take a dive into the deep blue sea
One touch
Is all I need
from you

But baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

But baby not
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
Na na na
not now
now

Baby not now

”Pretender”
Pretty face and a dirty mouth
She lifts you up and then beats you down
Get you hooked on her supply
Then run off with some other guy

You’re the sharpest knife
Couldn’t feel when you drove it inside
If I heal with time

You know that I
remember, remember
The way you bled me out
Pretender, pretender
Addicted to your lies

You’re the sharpest knife
Couldn’t feel when you drove it inside
Pretender, pretender
A snake’s tongue in your
mouth

Got your red hot venom flowing all through my veins
When I open my eyes all I see is your face
You’re so hollow,
truth I can’t swallow
but I can’t deny
what you’re doing to me
You’re so hollow,
truth I can’t swallow
that you’re everything I’ll ever need

You know that I
remember, remember
The way you bled me out
Pretender, pretender
Addicted to your lies

You’re the sharpest knife
Couldn’t feel when you drove it inside
Pretender, pretender
A snake’s tongue in your
mouth

Pretender,
pretender just like me
Pretender,
pretender you got
One last chance to
un-break me
Just lay your arms down
honestly

You know that I
remember, remember
The way you bled me out
Pretender, pretender

(ouff!)

You know that I
remember, remember
The way you bled me out
Pretender, pretender
Addicted to your lies

You’re the sharpest knife
Couldn’t feel when you drove it inside
Pretender, pretender
A snake’s tongue in your
mouth

”Horizon”
We were kids,
always running
Came from nowhere,
try’na make it big
We were kids,
nothing could stop us
We built this monster so we can make it here

It’s so easy to fall
It’s so easy to fall in love
It’s so easy to fall in love in your backyard

So light up the world and
paint the horizon
Light up the world for us
We´ll go to the lighthouse
find the horizon
Light up the world for us

See the horizon
see the horizon
And light up the world for us

Catch a view
of endless suburbs
Love like fireworks
of a shattered youth

It’s so easy to fall
It’s so easy to fall in love in your backyard

So light up the world and
paint the horizon
Light up the world for us
We´ll go to the lighthouse
find the horizon
Light up the world for us

See the horizon
see the horizon
And light up the world for us
See the horizon
see the horizon
And light up the world for us

We were kids
nothing could stop us
We built this monster
when we were kids
We were kids

So light up the world and
paint the horizon
Light up the world for us
We´ll go to the lighthouse
find the horizon
Light up the world for us

See the horizon
see the horizon
And light up the world for us
See the horizon
see the horizon
And light up the world for us

And light up the world for us
