They finished with the bronze medal, behind Drömhus and the soon-to-be Eurovision winner Charlotte Nilsson (later Perrelli). In 2018 Casper won the first season of the TV show ”Stjärnornas stjärna” (”Star of the Stars”), where established artists are performing songs in different genres.

Yeah I think people who don't want spoilers will avoid these threads, don't we comment rehearsals here every year?
 
These male-fronted old-school dansband things generally do nothing for me, but then again I am dead inside.
 
I quite liked I Do and I’ll probably like this, providing they don’t qualify over a certain someone.
 
How is it run? I don’t mind running it considering I’m BLOCKED from uni at the minute :D
 
Swedish reviews of the studio versions are out and everyone is praising everything. Many claims this to be one of the strongest SFs in Mello history, not a single entry is a dud and all of them would be competitive in a weak SF. Here's a compilation write-up of what the Swedish media is saying.

Kadiatou: "One Touch"
Strong, although slightly generic modern eurodance bop! Very Dua Lipa, very radio friendly. Could have sailed through to the final in a weak heat.
Predicted: 4th-7th

Lillasyster "Pretender"
Satisfyingly wrathful hard rock with melodic choruses. Journalists have a hard time predicting a placement since it's been such a long time since an entry like this participated. Of the rock bands that has competed in Mello it's most similar to Dead by April. Many believes this to be an NQ while some even predict DTF.
Predicted: 2nd-7th

Jessica Andersson "Horizon"
Starts off simple and then BUILDS. The most ESC-like song of the week and not something Jessan has done before. Still it feels like it's within her range of expression. A strong modern entry with schlager vibes, two key changes and some gospel influences. Requires superb technique to realize it's full potential though. Has been described as bearing similarities with last years winner but with added depth. Gives off "winner vibes".
Predicted: 1st-5th

Paul Rey” The Missing Piece”
Many reviewers like it better than last years effort but they also agree that it's even less instant than "Talking In My Sleep" which could spell trouble. Very radio friendly, Ed Sheeran like pop.
Predicted: 3rd-6th

Arvingarna ”Tänker inte alls gå hem”
A male boy band & "Nanne Grönvall"-version of Party Voice with modern production and plenty of dansband vibes thrown in. Steam picks up big time in the choruses. No depth but should be very attractive to kids and party people. It's happy, it's cheesy, it's fun!
Predicted: 2nd-5th

Nathalie Brydolf ”Fingerprints”
Delicate and scaled back ballad where every instrument can be heard cleanly. Many reviewers love it but thinks it's dubious to enter into a TV competition, even more insane giving it to a debutante without fan base or audience goodwill. Will simply not be instant enough to get people to vote for it.
Predicted: 4th-7th

Danny Saucedo ”Dandi dansa”
FUNK-Y. Very modern Danny so his fan base will be pleased. The song have plenty of hooks that lends themselves to clever staging but has no ESC winner "lift" nor any killing chorus that eats into your brain. Wouldn't be a typical Mello winner and is not at all aimed at an ESC audience.
