Melodifestivalen 2021: Deltävling One

After these first reviews, last night Arvingarna had overtaken Kadiatour and was closing in on Danny in the odds :D

Comical, but hopefully accurate tbh
 
Are they being kind to us this again and giving us (near enough) the full songs on Saturday afternoon like they used to?
 
They've said it'll be short clips this afternoon, but they haven't mentioned anything about the longer Saturday afternoon clips.

When did they stop doing the Saturday clips?
 
I think I had seen a mention somewhere reasonably well-informed that we’ll get longer clips on Saturday this year but I can’t remember where so I’m prepared to be wrong about that.

No I pretended VoR was MY manager and I played the taxi driver some of my demos - he thought “Boys With Emotions” was ‘wicked’ and that my labelmate Malou had a good voice. TOO MUCH
 
I mean the subtext here is that as a gay person I have to find raggedy-Ann excuses just to get my music on the end of an auxiliary cord. Just once would I like to get more than 15 seconds of Dolly Style - Hello Hi at a houseparty before somebody yanks it

okay well once we were at this gay bar in Stockholm and this drag queen was pushing us so former poster Lars told the queen to back off, which seriously got her back up. So when she stormed off she scooped up some of innocent bystander VoR’s belongings and ran out. Only when we were outside in the snow did VoR realise that his passport had been nabbed, and I think I nearly died in the snow laughing.

I had been dumped right before the trip so spent daytime in the hotel room crying and checking the Gaydar Chatrooms to see if my ex had been on there (which he HAD!) and this moment was like a real release of euphoria after so much darkness.

One time VoR and I were watching Eurovision 2004 after going to a La Roux concert at Leeds Beckett student union and he fell asleep. I knew Sanda - I Admit was one of his favourites that year so I tried to wake him up for it, and only half succeeded. He spent a minute repeating "I admeet, I admeet" softly, like a Eurogay tickle me Elmo
 
Another time I remember a big group of us here were at this club and I really fancied this guy so I started talking to him and his dumpy sister. They asked me if I wanted to go onto another club in Stureplan and me - forgetting every lesson I had ever learnt - was like sure, okay and hopped into their taxi. Anyway, when I got there it was absolutely straight and awful and to make matters worse the guy I fancied leant over and whispered “you know I think my sister really likes you ;) “ and I knew then I had to escape.

I flagged down a taxi and both driver and I had to work out where the English homosexuals were because I was inebriated and couldn’t remember, and through god’s luck I pulled up to the Moopy gays just in time as they stood outside the club and Madison bought me a hot dog.
 
Okay so one time Suomi and I were upstairs in the Royal Oak after Melodifestivalen heat 4 2018 and after a period of extensive bullying the DJ finally played Loreen - STATEMENTS. I proceeded to become cutie of the evening and we both reenacted the dance routine, with me using my plaid overshirt as a flag at the pivotal moment in the track. It was such a spectacle other Swedish people in the room actually visibly reacted

This is one of my favourite moments - that group of Swedish girls just stopped and stared AGOG at what we were doing , and then it felt like the whole room stopped when we started screaming at the song’s climax

After all the ugliness of the past 24 hours it’s nice to hear a story where bullying has a positive outcome.
 
I’m listening to Party Voice (and Make Me La La La) on repeat.
 
So the first time I met Suomi he made me a lovely pasta salmon alfredo and we watched the X Factor but it was one of those years nobody cared about. Anyway he went upstairs to look at his hair in the mirror for ten minutes and left me on my own with nothing but his laptop playing Dilba - Try Again for company (which he had put on wordlessly and then left the room, knowing his intent would be fully understood). Anyway his housemate came home with her boyfriend while he was doing that and I said hi and said he'd already given me the house tour to break the ice. Anyway she said "uh, has he now?" in a way that immediately made it clear to me why one of the things he'd shown me during the tour was a "HOUSE ARGUMENT RULES" A4 paper stuck on the kitchen cupboard
 
Anyway later on we went to Douchebag and he abandoned me after 45 minutes to go smoke weed with a friend. Then some drag queens attacked me at the end of the night and I had to flee to a Grindr meet for safety
