Ace Wilder forced to leave "Star of the Stars" 2018
- It feels perfectly fine. I went into this show knowing that I'm not the greatest vocalist ever. I challenged myself, I stood up there and tried so I'm still pretty proud of this, she says after the cameras cut off.
- I think you need some setbacks to get inspiration. It was unbelievable that way. You know why you get into this. I took a look at everyone involved and just felt like "shit, these are vocalists". Good damn it. I'm just proud that I've challenged myself.
No one has seen her near a mic since.

Bishara - Has been trying to get in but has continuously been rejected by SVT. He needs a good suitable song and preferably a story to sell as his career has been dead since the start of the pandemic.
Lina Hedlund - Was at a few Mello-camps this year and has been sending in songs. Took great advantage of her rosen stature after her solo success as she became more of a household name through landing some hosting gigs.
Jon Henrik Fjällgren - He’s in such a unique musical genre that his only real Swedish competitor is the 71 years old Roger Pontare. Despite being busy with his reindeers, not seeing his daughter and bouts with severe depression he’s been able to keep making and performing music. If he sends in a good song he’s surely in.
2020:
Mendez: Last I saw him he was back in Chile.
Victor Crone - Has continued to tour and release music. Confirmed by Aftonbladet.
Felix Sandman - Hasn’t had much chart success since his last Mello appearance but is still doing music. Got burnt out during Mello 2020 and then the pandemic got in the way of the planned release of a new album. Has similarly to Omar segwayed into other media roles such as acting and hosting. Could be a potential host for a future Mello edition.
Hanna Ferm - Is a big name outside the competition nowadays so it's unlikely she would be pressured to apply by her record label. If she wants to go for it she'd surely get a spot.
The Mamas - Sent in songs but was rejected in favour of LouLou going solo.

She did yeah, twice. She got one repeat performance. Which to her defence, Björkman always tells all Mello performer's that if you cannot hear through your in-ears you should stop singing and you'll get a rerun. Björkman calls it Lex JessAn, as she sang an entire Andra Chansen duel without in-ears hearing (turns out the sound technicians had turned it of or something).
