Elmiene is a bit of an industry darling but some of his stuff has been gorgeous. Liking the new one which is a bit more commercial/accessible than recent releases



Had my eye on this pop-R&B artist for a bit now, liking everything so far, this is the new one



Followed Benny for a while now, covers retro soul, neo soul and nu funk. New one:



New SiR album, only had a quick flick but there are some potential gems on there, definitely one with my fave Anderson Paak. Some of it doesn't work for me but the ones with the classic R&B influences sound great

 
Loving this throwback boyband from Mary J Blige. Collective sons of Boyz II Men (literally, not figuratively)

 
I love this and the album sounds promising (collab project between Paak and Knxwledge), there's also a feature with H.E.R. ... there's another track which I think is the single getting some love on radio but I think it's the weakest of the 3, I love this old school throwback

As alluded to, other faves include Don't Cha' Think, but also Kicking It and No Better Love. Remarkably consistent act.
 
Their early stuff was great, they don’t get enough credit for being pioneers of the R&B boy bands of the 90s.

“Can’t Stop” is my jam.
 
Well I didn't know this album was coming out - been on my radar for a while doing some nice stuff, some good collabs etc, but I expected him to go straight down the mainstream route of middling mumbly swoony R&B (like Khalid) rather than some interesting, funky alt-R&B (like Miguel) but lo and behold he seems to have opted for the latter.

On first listen, this is brilliant.

 
Think we're getting a new Sunni Colón album which I'm totally excited about. A lot of the modern neo-soul artists tend to drift further alternative and experimental with returning albums and they alienate me, but Sunni appears to be sticking to his successful formula of trippy, dreamy 70s inspired soul

I like this guy, very similar to Lucky Daye, lots of psychedelic influences but still very modern sounding

 
This guy is SO good. Keeps churning out bops and his voice and vocal arrangements are amazing

 
This was recommended to me somehow on Spotify (or it might have just been on one of the new playlists) and I'm glad I found it. Somewhere between Harry Styles and Zayn, really nice album

 
Eric Benet released an EP of duets... it's mostly OK. The Tamar Braxton one is the single, but the one with Corinne Bailey Rae is absolutely GORGEOUS!

He's released an EP, On first listen it sounds spectacular. Loving this guy so much. Real R&B music.

 
Had this guy on my radar for about a year now and he's gaining some buzz. This is his new song



But he's been trending recently because of his vocal abilities



One to watch!
 
Here is Durand's album. It's not my favourite, but he's certainly original and forward thinking and it's worth a listen

 
He’s good - I’m very into this 70s soul revival at the moment, there’s lots of acts about doing it. Jalen screams a bit too much sometimes for my liking but for the most part I like his stuff.

A couple of these have made it onto his new album full of duets with female R&B artists

 
It’s not as good as the EP which felt a bit tighter. The ones I’ve saved for later are Ari Lennox and India Arie.
 
They're not an r&b act - more yacht rock usually - but this is a very slinky little number so I think it can go here

UK/US duo doing 70s-style soft rock the past 10 years or so. 5 albums. I went to Antwerp to see them last week! Also seeing them in Koko in October with my sister if you want to COME ALONG :disco:

May be my favourite song of theirs! :disco: Outside of this new album, other faves include but are not limited to Rolling Back, Kingston Boogie, West Side Jet and Lenny. Still getting to know their older albums but basically everything is good.

Oh and they also wrote the recent Take That single This Life which I loved before I heard of them.

Part of the psychedelic soul revival (more 70s trends), I've liked some of this guy's singles. The album sounds great on first listen. The track "Float" is on heavy rotation with me at the moment.

Similarly, this guy is from Liverpool, and I love his voice. His album is out March 20

 
Him of "Catching Bodies" fame looks like he might one to watch on the strength of this follow up. BOP!

 
Seeing him live this month, only cost like £15
 
He’s playing the Arts Club in Liverpool this month too. Tempted.
