I was actually lying in bed and hoping with all my might that a Christmas miracle had taken place
and that Santa had been. I visualised a huge pile of presents in my living room. That’s why I’m up so early as I got myself all excited.

But no, the only thing waiting for me is the washing up :(:D
 
I’m getting emotional on the sofa eating Twiglets. Today’s going to be harder than I thought, but I’ll get through it. I mean, this time last year, I was in the exact same spot sticking needles in my arms and legs so I’ve come a hell of a long way. Thank you for being with me, Moopy. You’ve made such a big difference to my life.

Perk yourself up with a lovely day of doing what YOU want to do and not feeling any pressure to do what Christmas wants you to do. Get out for a walk as well if you fancy- seeing people on the street and saying hello and happy Christmas from behind a mask will certainly make you feel better!

And most importantly, have a lovely day. Needle free and be super proud of that.
 
Also, it's frosty out, I've got the smell of hot cockerel in my nostrils, and I've just gone outside with the dog and played Mariah Carey at deafening volumes. IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS DAY!!!

Hope you all have an absolute smasher. Remember to save the shavings from your carrots and potatoes so @Suomi can keep the hostages fed.
 
Hi guys, just wanted to take a minute to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy year, most of all good health! These days people don't spend much time or thought on some personal words to their friends and family, they just copy and paste some random message and send it on. So after all we've been though together this year I want to thank you for your friendship and wish you a happy and fulfilling 2018 - you’re the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for. Merry Cwismass Moopy

I was getting a bit emotional last night now that I won’t be with my family. I just miss the big hoo-hah of it all, the massive stack of presents at my mum and dads and watching people fake smile as they open the slippers they don’t really like (but had asked for). But then I thought that if I did travel home that wouldn’t be happening anyway and my dads covid anxiety would be the through the roof.

So I’m going to go to my friends and have a right good time of it instead.
 
People are still allowed to see friends. That feels so alien right now! Make the most of it!

First ever Christmas not at parents which is weird but busy busy busy getting ready for “in laws” coming round at least.
 
I don't think I fancy Christmas Dinner. Wonder if I can get away with pasta?
 
I hope everyone having a more lonesome Christmas due to everything is alright today, as someone who never gets to see their parents at Christmas anyway I want to tell you that you're strong, you'll get through it and you always have us if nothing else :love:
