Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation + grammy winner at last (1 Viewer)

And then Lana in March— oh. :(

Probably for the best she pushed back two weeks to make room for Miley.

up to #1 on spotify global with a best-ever 11m streams :disco: she's definitely coming for the uk #1 too, she'll overtake RAYE in today or tomorrow's mids I think

surprised Midnight Sky is not recharting.
Anyway I’m here for this success. Who else is left from her era having this level of success? She’s in her Ray Of Light/Music era right now and I’m here for it.

Miley being able to still have continued commercial success in 2023 is not what I was expecting.

That Stars Are Blind cover must have really resonated… 👀

Are debut #1s not a bit unusual in the golden age of streaming?

I’m still not sure where I place Miley’s star power these days so not sure if this is all expected or a bit of a surprise

Fairly common for big name acts I think?

I'd say it's a solid reflection of how well the Midnight Sky era was received, if nothing else. A shame that didn't go to #1 really

Pleased the Miley has got the number one, but how in the world has she managed not to have to credit the ‘When I Was Your Man’ songwriters yet?

They do happen for big acts or a song that just explodes out the door, but it’s is just as common to rise to the top over time, so a mixed bag really. I wouldn’t have pegged Miley down as a #1 out of the gate artist though, so I’d say this is a surprise all round.

i hope this teaches the girlies (like Gaga and Katy) that when you flop you have to just keep on consistently releasing classics (Malibu, Midnight Sky) and the GP will eventually wake up and let you stomp

"Midnight Sky" passes 500m streams and is back in the UK top 200.
