i actually don't mind the songs - both slide away and midnight sky are good songs (though i'd always chose to play edge of seventeen instead of the latter) but i just don't like her presence/vocals on it. there's a shrillness to the so won't you slide away bit in particular that bugs me and i just don't like the "raspy" quality she seems so intent on (as proof she's a real artiste probably) and the overall poutyness of it all.

malibu was nice. she seemed relaxed and sounded it too.

I actually would have preffered this without Dua. She doesn't have the vocal for an 80s new wave anthem. But that's just a personal choice - it's obviously a smart collab.

Not as instant as "Midnight Sky" but I do like it and could be a real grower.
