Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky + Plastic Hearts (the new masterpiece record!)

I’m loving these INSPIRED covers, but with all this live pimping going on you’d think she’d tease us with some new music?

Speaking of which, I hope Slide Away makes it onto the album. That’s two 13/10 tracks so far then, which gets things off to a cracking start.
 
Is she's not planning on dropping an album in November? Surely that has to be the case?
 
I can't keep up. It was next year, and then I think I read it was being brought forward. I have no idea. I just hope it's not a rush release. It's too soon for a second single really, it'll get ignored.
 
she can definitely push a second single within a couple of weeks - Midnight Sky has hung around top 40 in the US but isn't headed back toward top 20 and will fall soon without radio airplay. also it will go into ACR in 2 weeks here. Since the second single features Dua it should definitely have a strong start/could potentially do well at US radio.
 
also there's an AMAZING leaked track from a few months back called Angels Like You which somebody has confirmed will be on the album and I'm really happy about it 'cos it's the most beautiful ballad/midtempo moment and I need to be able to use and abuse it on Spotify.

I think a November single and December album is the best solution. October just still feels too early. At least for Europe. How's MS doing around the world outside of US and UK?
 
I could’ve done with her turning it down a NOTCH in the verses of Zombie but still incredible, especially the guitar towards the end.
 
It took me a minute with Boys Don't Cry. Zombie is very impressive though.

Most acts hawk the same cover or two around for a whole campaign, not Miley.

Oh! This is the chart I heard on Radio 1 when I was driving home from Sainsbury’s and was FREAKING OUT at the number 3 placing on a MYSTERY CHART I was pretty sure wasn’t the Pepsi Chart Show.

She’s bringing Communication - an album track from a flop album by a band 98% of the public perceive as cheesy 90s one-hit wonders - to a vastly wider audience.

I’m all for it.

Miley Cyrus continues to bring her own spin to some of the biggest rock hits including songs by Blondie, the Cranberries, and Pearl Jam.

But Cyrus is so serious about one legendary heavy metal band that she's recording an entire album dedicated to their discography. The former Hannah Montana star confirmed she's currently working on a Metallica tribute album, but did not reveal which songs will be included.

"We’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and I’m here working on that," Cyrus told fashion designer Rick Owens for Interview magazine. "We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this. At first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been totally ignited."

It's no surprise the longtime Metallica fan is committing an entire album to the Grammy-winning band; she's rocked out to "Nothing Else Matters" from their Black album on various occasions. Most recently, she belted out the hit track in front of a massive audience at the 2019 Glastonbury festival.
