I like High more than Angels Like You I think. As far as heartbreak-as-drugs metaphor ballads go, it's certainly A LOT MORE PALATABLE than L. Gaga's DOPE.

I wasn't that into Hate Me this morning, and the lyrics of the chorus are still a little meh for me, but it really builds to a nice crescendo and I'm into it now.

Hate Me is a definite step back and feels a bit more slight than what's come before. It was my least favourite on first listen. It's growing though! Sweet song, just a touch basic lyrically.

trivia corner: Bad Karma was leaked last summer initially in a CLIP on Instagram and then teased as an imminent single by Mark Ronson beginning in JANUARY, a whole 10 months ago. it then leaked. so it's been around for AGES and hasn't changed much beyond adding Joan Jett. whose vocal btw is perfect for it and gives the song some much needed ENERGY.

Sorry, the background vocals (with the panting) are a bit annoying. The pre-chorus is good though. And the change of pace towards the end. Sounds like a real rock song, not just an homage like a lesser singer might make

Yeah, I like Bad Karma a lot too. It's one of my favourites, which seems at odds with a lot of the reactions I've seen.

You can definitely hear Joan's influence on Miley's VOX.
