24° here currently and I'm about to walk about 3 miles in it. Has to be better than the bus, right?
 
Toying between going into work tomorrow and making use of the aircon (I would drive, so no tube), or staying in and moving (and working) as little as possible. Thinking that surely every other bugger's going to be in tomorrow as well having had the same idea...
 
Suddenly glad to be living (and working from home) in a flat that gets very little direct sunlight.
 
I had to come to an appointment just off the island this morning and the roads are entirely dead. Almost like Christmas.

Hilarious really- it’s not going to be life threatening heat here on the coast.
 
Fuck it, I got the bus. Only about 20 people on it and actually cooler than it is out. Bet it won't be the same at about 6pm.

I do have two fans (a neck one and a handheld one) and a damp towel around my shoulders though :D
 
I just got onto work, I was surprised there was still a fair bit of traffic, I was expecting an easy ride in!
 
I get the sun into my bedroom in the morning and then into my front room in the evening. Saves on the heating bills but it could all be a wee bit too toasty this evening...
 
I'd say the traffic is noticeably quieter here as well. The schools seem to be open, but until what time I don't know.
 
Roads were dead around our way, I’m in the gym and its freezing
 
Not sure going to the gym and attempting leg day in this weather, after athletics related shit sleep and with no breakfast was my GREATEST idea :D

A bit stoned at the moment. Glucose in his wee indicates diabetes but currently no ketones. The vets were incredible, so calming that they kept me and him calm.

They've taken bloods to test and I'm changing his food to a low carb one and testing his wee daily for a week. If no ketones appear then we continue on dietry change, if they do then he had insulin.
 
It’s ‘only’ 25°C here now, and only expected to go as high as 28 so I don’t know how you’re all coping in the high 30s!

Diet change would be ideal. He only eats dry food and they have said although wet is better, they don't want to upset him so stick to a low carb dry food..someone I know has some so I've given him a bit and he seems to like it.

He's not a fan of the litter I have to use to check his wee, but he will use it.
 
We're "only" predicted to hit 34 today and tomorrow.

I experienced high 30s before when we went to southern France during a European heatwave in 2018. It was quite ridiculous. I rarely ventured into the sun.
 
20 now, with a high of 31 later. A cooler summer day for here
 
I dread to think how hot the shop is. Last week when the outside temp hit 27 the shop was 34, so god knows what it'll be today and tomorrow.
