Yeah but the carpet's really cheap and horrible. It needs replacing and the stairs need decreaking and all the bannisters need varnishing but really who can be bothered? :D

I got up with the intention of being productive today but all is quiet.

So I went on Facebook and I've just seen someone tagged in a post about a poorly baby and it's all very sad, but the babies name is Dakota-Evoque.

“Do you have a change management policy in place which could be used in conjunction with the change management policy of CLIENT NAME to ensure that any change management is handled with CLIENT NAME’S best interests of change management at the forefront of any decision making (on change management or otherwise)?”

1. Do you think they’re interested in change management?
2. What does that even mean?
3. No, we don’t.
4. Who gets paid to write this shit?
 
I've just been told that my next training course is being doubled up with someone else's. Someone who is a massive pain in the arse. UGH.

Well I only met him on Christmas Day of all days, we met a few days later, but then we were both traveling during new year so this is the third time.

I think I might have to POISON Nicola to get her off sick again so that we don't have to suffer MADAM YAPPING ON about EVERY SINGLE THOUGHT SHE HAS and EVERY SINGLE THING SHE'S DOING in INFINITELY TEDIOUS DETAIL. I thought it had been PEACEFUL so far this year. DON'T IT ALWAYS SEEM TO GO etc. etc.

I guess a blank policy could be used with CLIENT NAME’S policy without too much compromise!

You ought to see some of the names I come across at work. Sometimes I do my best to pronounce them and then I get evils from the mother :(
 
One of my clients invited me to their christmas do, it was just before christmas so I was going to go. Then they told me that I had to contribute to the meal AND buy my own drinks, then they moved it to January.

I didn't go.
 
The spawn started her new job today, no longer is she the filthy no-tail in the IT department, made to sit in a corner and not allowed to talk to the other staff (male) because she's too "annoying" with her chattering. She's now working for a company who does the IT for a civil service department and has come home with about two grand's-worth of fancy tablet-laptop, docking-station, headphones and all kinds of other gadgetty stuff. She gets a phone tomorrow.

I really hope this one works out, women shouldn't still be second-class citizens in IT.
 
One of my besties did some IT in the place where we both worked and the men were pretty dismissive. She's now with a proper IT company and treated as an equal. It IS getting better.
 
Just got my first credit card since I was 18, got a credit card, blew it all on pills and vinyl and never paid it back.

Wonder if I'll learn?
 
Only real difference is that, nowadays, as well as having the adverse on yr credit file for 6 years, you'll get loaded to the fraud database too.
