Monday gets sacked... AGAIN

MORNING LOVES

I can't be bothered to do ANY work today, which is a shame as I have quite a lot on. Mr Sheena is actually out of the flat for once and the current situation (his Mum being on death's door) means that, although I entirely understand he's going to be VERY SAD and VERY CRANKY, it's a WELCOME RESPITE.

In other news, I've treated myself to GRANOLA, which is a NICE CHANGE. I don't normally allow it in the house as it's kind of like crack to me- this bag will be demolished in a couple of days...

Morning! One of my office besties who went to work from home is in the office for training and it's already chaos. :D

I had a terrible sleep last night :( Mr C's sleep talking was worse than usual because he's been ill, which is fine of course but did cause there to be a bit more noise and commotion in the bedroom than usual. This led to the cat deciding to chance his arm and trot in about THREE HOURS before his automatic feeder opens at 6am to sit on my chest, purr extra loud, push his face all over me, the full works. Needless to say he got put out of the room with the door closed, which just led to half an hour of YOWLING before he got the message :eyes:

Every month I have one of those subscribe and save deliveries from Amazon with five big jars of coffee in, Mr F drinks a lot of coffee and it works out twenty quid cheaper than supermarket prices. This month's delivery arrived today but one of the jars is broken. I'm almost certain that whoever packed the order knew that it was broken because the other four jars are just in their usual concertinery cardboard holders but this one is in the holder but also wrapped around in clear sellotape and there's coffee all in the bottom of the box but the box isn't damaged. You can feel the broken glass under the sellotape so I logged on to Amazon to send it back and they're saying I can't have returns or refunds for this order so I have to get customer services to ring me.

Woe betide the call handler if I don't get either a refund or another jar sent. I hope they speak reasonable English because I hate having to spell things out due to lack of understanding of my deliciously flat vowels.

All sorted, getting a refund. I hate having to deal with automated telephone robots, after it told me again I wasn't allowed to return or refund I just sat there saying "I want to speak to a person" in answer to every question and it eventually put me through to a person. She wasn't English as her first language but she spoke slowly and so did I and we got there in the end.

Mr F drinks five big jars of coffee a month? :o
Sometimes 6! When I say big jars they're only 190g, not the giant tins. Black coffee is all he drinks, the caffeine helps to keep him awake during the day with all the medication he takes and he has it really strong (two heaped spoons in a normal mug). I tried bubbling him up to the GP about how much coffee he gets through and the GP said it was fine because it's "clear liquid" so it won't do him any harm.

He’ll be fine!
