Also I saw this today

I got a letter from my internet service provider to say that I really shouldn’t have downloaded that album off BitTorrent because they know. 😬
Get a VPN and put it on before even thinking of the word "torrent"

Wouldn’t they still know? I mean it’s the service provider right, don’t they give me the IP? I don’t know internets
Good VPNs encrypt the data, so no one can look at the packets and know what is in them whilst data is in transit

Morning troops! Bright, cold and clear over here. It's all gone to cock at work already too. Magic.

I feel worse today from a night of drinking that I did last week from a weekend of pills.

Booze is bad for you.

Afternoon! And thank you to the three people who wished me happy birthday :disco:

THIRTY NINE AGAIN

Just a quick message to my esteemed and much-beloved colleagues

I DO HOPE THE SAID ESTEEMED COLLEAGUE YOU ARE REFERRING TO IS DROOPY DRAWERS.

In other GP news I got a letter from my GP today - who I've been with since I was born - saying I need to find a new practice. The influx of flats in the area recently and cramming people in means those of us living a bit further away are being hooofed out.

Are they allowed to do that? Are they asking you to register elsewhere or telling you to?

The letter just says they cannot keep me and the family anymore as they've too many people closer who they have an obligation to see. They said I've got 30 days to register somewhere else and they'll transfer our files electronically.

Presumably as it was your childhood practice, you were in their catchment area then, and then moved out of it when you moved to your current home?

I get a little confused about what the rules are, as different practices work differently here. One of the ones I work at is very strict and tells people they have to register elsewhere as soon as they move out of area (and will deregister them if they don't), and the other appears to be a lot more discretionary and will let people stay, as long as they sign a disclaimer acknowledging they won't get home visits if they are out of area. I assume a lot of it comes down to patient lists.

But in your case I assume they either kept you on when you moved, accepting you were out of area - or you were still in their area, but that's now changed.
