Feel like pure shit. Keeping one professional commitment today, off to mark 11+ papers for two hours. Literally my limit at the moment.

I'm remarkably spritely for a Monday morning. I don't like it.

Last day of annual leave :(

On the train to Oxford for the day. Let's see if a bit of culture, shopping and somewhere inappropriately expensive for a Monday lunch can fend off the misery that will descend tonight.

A hangover free Monday for a change and work is an absolute shitshow

WHY DO I BOTHER?

Back at work today after 2 weeks off. It was a struggle getting up but I came back to only about 200 emails so it could have been worse.

Half of them are relayed to IT issues as I am the point of contact in our department for any issues with IT but despite me telling the IT people I am off for 2 weeks they have closed all the live tickets down because of no response from me even though I had an out off office message on and a message on our IT servicing portal.

Also the amount of shit emails I get, so many people just responding to emails just saying ‘thank you’ - I know it’s polite but that’s what the like button is for in Outlook.
Anyway better get back to these emails.

Howdy. Sleep schedule utterly screwed now - always happens when I'm off work for any more than a few days and can happen over a flippin' weekend. I wonder why I'm so bad at something so simple?

I am waiting on OUR VERA coming over for a catch up. She will be drinking coffee and I am in the mood for a bottle of wine, just for a change.

I'd forgotten it was a bank holiday - town absolutely stuffed with wee pricks.

Anyone got an idea for a work Xmas party in London? Something like Swingers golf, we did that once and it was good!

I did Flight Club with work a while back which is similar but darts related. It's fun and the food is reasonable (for London). There's different dart-related games and they play little action replay videos which are fun little ice breakers if your work needs that sort of thing!

They were also really responsive with me on email when I was booking and making changes to the booking if it's you that's in charge, as that can be such a thankless task so when someone on the other end is helpful that can be a godsend.

Yes! Exactly that sort of thing, although I'm not sure they'll be enthralled by the idea of darts. It's so hard getting something that is inclusive of everyone...

One of our teams went axe throwing and it was surprisingly successful.

I think I read the word 'fun' in relation to a CORPORATE ICE BREAKER above, and I still feel sick.

I’ve seen that cat today somewhere. Isnt it like 39 years old or something

I was feeling old until I read that. Isn’t that like over 200 in cat years? The pussy version of METHUSELA.

25!

The world’s oldest ever cat was CRÈME PUFF who lived to 38.

The world’s oldest dog BOBI is still with us at the age of 31!
