Kitty (RIP) had a nice balance. He was an older boy, loved cuddles, but knew when enough was enough.

Yeah I've had cats that stayed very affectionate. My brother got two kittens two years ago, they were all over you for the first year, now they look annoyed every time you try to pet them.

This little minx was attached for me purring like an engine for 10 minutes, saw her sister and was off like a shot for play. The sister was covered in dust from somewhere I probably don't even know exists.

The main plus is that they sleep a lot.

Kittens really are the best. Out of my four only one of them is indifferent to me, the other three have remained affectionate.
