Monday stays alert

That doubles game is going to be really tricky as I can only see my grandma in the morning but my granddad in the afternoon. Conversely as they live together they can both see me at the same time. I guess I'll get them to go 1/3 each on my fine.

The fine that never actually materialises despite at least 10 logged complaints to the police.

MORNING!

Off work today as I decided to extend the weekend a bit and it's put me in the most AMAZING mood! I feel positively PERKY. I've made scrambled eggs with expensive blue eggs and they are literally ORANGE which has made me even happier. It's the small things.

Now what to do today?

No doubt the Trans Pennine Trail and COUNTRY PARK down the road are going to be PACKED with people playing sports ‘with their household’.

A nice fulfilling day of recording 200 vocabulary words for my teacher friend, and then getting dumped (not by him)

I'm waiting to find out if I'm going back to work this week. But the only practice of mine that's open is either a bus ride away or a 2 hour walk.

Right, I've stayed at home for a couple of hours, but now am going to work. This IS how this works, right?

I took today off as well which has worked out because Dua alone knows what it's going to be like in the office today. Apart from no-one having a clue what they're supposed to do, of course.

I'm listening to an album that was composed by "chance".

Basically, yr man solicited contributions on Twitter, the only criteria being it has to last 3 mins and 30 seconds. He then layered these without reference to each other. The results are surprisingly good and several tracks sound absolutely deliberate.

He's raised £400 for Refuweegee already.

There - a wee good news story.

The Scottish government aren’t telling me to stay aren’t so I’m letting my guard down

*dead by dinner time*

Only because they are never quite sure whether the dangling bit of paper faces in or out.

I've woken up in perhaps an unsurprising shallow depression. I have the urge to stay in bed all day.

You can't go to work then

I wonder how I’d go about being the voice of Osaka Metro. Japanese love the Queen’s English, I’m from the Home Counties, and I can’t imagine they can find many queenier people.

I’ve had a lovely morning so far doing very little- I’ve read half a book and enjoyed the silence, interrupted by gusts of the sea breeze, with the sun streaming in through the balcony doors. What a wonderful change it’s been.

Sometimes, a day like that is what you need. Listen to your body. And your head.

I don't want to wade into a controversial topic, but I have it on good authority that Anders Behring Breivik, Mussolini and Lulu all hang their toilet paper overarm.

I've bunged a bunch of my favourite Blur songs into an ad-hoc playlist, just wading through the download that came with the 21 box and picking out faves. 3 hours worth without even pausing for thought. They really were the tits were Blur.

Columbine happened because they were sick of the janitors hanging it wrong in the toilets.

The Challenger space shuttle crashed because they were distracted by rearranging the bog roll when they should have been manning the buttons.

Zsa Zsa died from the strain of reaching for improperly hung toilet roll with her widened stump arms.

All of those were necessary sacrifices.

Wasps think that hanging toilet paper overarm is a sensible thing to do. They invented that thing where they inject their eggs into a living caterpillar and the larvae eat it from the inside out in order to encourage such deviant behaviour.

Just so we’re on the same page, we’re both hanging our bog roll thus, aren’t we?
