Monday stays alert

Tinky Winky for me :disco:

Obviously they were all real so I don’t want to upset anyone but which costume was Toyah Willcox in?

Next up: FLUMPS RATE :disco:

OMG I LOVED THE FLUMPS.

I had the same 3 comics in my grandads house from about 1983 to 1993 and The Flumps featured heavily.

I’m not sure that Dipsy would come to mind if I was asked to name all four of them in the street for a cash prize of £1.75

TUBBY FAIL :(

Special offer on cases of Prosecco from the Wine Society, you say? Oh you've TWISTED MY ARM

I dug out my dodgy bootleg CD of the "Ralf & Florian" Kraftwerk album last night - it's a wonky listen but good for the soul.

Today, in common with my reputation, I have some Nurse With Wound on. "Automating Volume Two", since you asked.

Wikipedia suggests that the second actor to play Tinky Winky is actually dead. He fell into a well whilst drunk, which may be the most Moopy tag death I have ever encountered.

Has anyone heard anything about any gigs they were supposed to be going to?

I was supposed to go to a gig during lockdown, which has been rescheduled to december and heard nothing from the ticket web throughout the whole thing

And ticketmaster still appear to be selling tickets for things that are absolutely not going to happen like Diana Ross in July.

I just accidentally deleted all the tags in this thread whilst testing something, before anybody asks. SOZ

Yeah I have Diana Ross tickets and find it odd it hasn’t been cancelled/re-scheduled yet.

:disco: Actually all my family use the expression “just going for a pootle” which makes me feel a bit sick TBH but OMG maybe they’re talking in FLUMPSPRACHE!

I use pootle when it's car related "I was pootling along at 70mph in the slow lane" but use bimble when it's person related "just going for a bimble".

No idea why because nobody else that I know says these things :D

I’m hoping rescheduling puts lots of people off- particularly for Diana as I want to take my Mum but I need disabled tickets which just disappeared instantly.

I use 'tootling along' and 'going for a womble', which must be connected.

I've just found a Youtube video of my favourite fruit machine. When I worked in the arcade for the lovely DEBBIE MEADEN I discovered you could open the back and fill the NUDGE BANK and they'd still be there when you closed the door and reset it which meant you'd soon be WINNING ONE POUND FIFTY. I used to have a map of the REELS too :david: to keep handy if I was on the ones in town. The things you'd do for £1.50. Sorry about the FRAUD Debs. I never used to skim the 10ps out of the pusher either. Honest.

"Going for a Womble" evolved into "going for a wobble" up here which says a different but related thing...

Oh do share video please. My favourite arcade attraction was MORGANA :disco::wired:

I’d hope that she’s still terrorising impressionable and slightly weird children on the pier in Walton-on-the-Naze but maybe someone called Social Services :(

Why are so many topics being CLOSED at the moment? Is this a new policy?
