Monday steals this moment from you now

MORNING!

I've got a meeting with a rather massive Danish sports- tech company this morning who may end up being my first client. I've only been without work for three weeks- I'm not ENTIRELY sure I'm ready to take a client on yet, but let's see how this goes...

I put this Monday

How did you even DO THAT

I think this is also the last gig or event I have for a little while, which is actually a relief because I could do without it all while I'm trying to sell/buy flats and whatnot :tongueout:

The tadpoles are in a container next to my pond, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with them next. I didn't listen when my sister gave me the instructions yesterday but I do remember she was very clear that I couldn't tip them straight into it :D

I only thought there was an issue that you need to let chlorine burn off before adding tapwater into a pond I can’t see why putting tadpoles into a pond would cause an issue…
Maybe mix a bit of pond water into the bucket to help them acclimatise or something ?!

Oh that sounds reasonable. I have got newts in my pond though which I assume will eat the tadpoles if I put them in there too soon. I guess they don't eat frogs. Maybe she was thinking of that.

I thought you didn't actually want the tadpoles, which I assume must give you a certain amount of freedom when it comes to caring for them properly.

IIRC you have to acclimatise them to the water temperature in the pond as it will be colder than in the container, so you need to stand the container in the pond for a bit first. But yeah if you've got newts you probably need to wait a bit as well.

The tub they're in is in the sun, so maybe I should move it under a tree so it's not so hot. They're probably boiling in there.

You're going to have to buy replacement tadpoles. And then explain to your niece why they've ended up as a different species of frog to the ones she kept.

They seem to be quite alive, and are kicking their horrid little legs in the tub.

If there was a risk of them being broiled alive in the sun, I think it would have happened already.

I don't even know why she's so invested. She only likes guinea pigs!

However, I have since spent all day grappling with Microsoft 365 set up and now I want to hurt small children.

Painful does not begin to describe it. Why is Microsoft so fucking shit? All day nothing has worked and their support has not been able to solve it. I’ve just worked out (as a complete non- IT person) that it’s in fact a conflict with the anti-virus software that got installed as part of THEIR installation. Fucking ridiculous.

The whole system is so complicated that you really do need to be an IT-bod to deal with it. How small businesses manage I don’t know.
