Poor Katherine Ryan :(

(She's one of my faves btw so this is a shade-free zone)

Morning. One of the girls has come in with a culturally appropriative FRO. It actually kinda suits her.

MORNING

I've got a hangover after a boozy lunch got out of hand yesterday. I feel terribly anxious as a result and I can't even face the thought of going to London to see Cher this evening.

I haven't even eaten anything yet...CAN'T FACE FOOD!

I've had a lucozade, a sausage roll and 2 paracetamol.

In retrospect having only an order of croquettes for dinner last night was probably where I went wrong.

Another trip to the chiropractor. A lot more like I expected today. I'm left with an odd feeling somewhere between jetlag and euphoria.

I'm on a conference call, it's on video and I just want to die

The spelling error in the title is making me crazy...

I've decided to try and let these things go

*twitch*

I never knew the collective noun for croquettes was an order but it makes perfect sense...

I saw Katherine Ryan a couple of years. She just talked about Love Island, so I was really unimpressed.

I've cut the HEDGE. I only fell into the massive thorn bush ONCE so I'm counting that as a WIN

Today I was introduced to the ridiculous concept of sins for people trying to lose weight with Slimming World. So you get 7 sins a day and they're usually naughty things like alcohol or sweeties but you can save your sins up all week and use them all at the weekend. So office lady decided to have 5 gins on Saturday which cost her 25 sins but she'd only joined on Thursday so she decided to bring forward some sins from this week plus she'd already had another 11 sins by dinnertime today and then she ate a chocolate eclair because office girl offered her one.

I imagine it's going to be like every other diet fad she's done where she just cheats constantly then complains that she's put weight on every time she weighs-in. Why are women (and probably men, don't want to be sexist) paying money to these shysters?! The concept of allowed-sins is ridiculous. By saying something's a sin it makes them want it more because they're not supposed to have it.

:D GOING WELL!

Well QUITE! Although don’t they call them SYNS? Not that it makes it any less ridiculous :side-eye:

I’ve surely been here before, but the concepts of GOOD and NAUGHTY when applied to food are equally jarring. “Mmm, dry salad... I’m being ever so GOOD!” “Oh I do fancy a doughnut but it’s quite NAUGHTY!” ETCETERA

What the fuck are you, FOUR? (Not you as in you, @Floppet.) Total infantilisation of self. EURGH

They may be spelled syns but we were only talking about them so I assumed it was sins because they're naughty :D. It drives her potty because I eat what I want, when I want and my weight stays as it is. She'll say "Are you really going to eat both of those chocolate cherry muffins?" when what she means is "offer me one of those chocolate cherry muffins!" but the reply she gets is "yes, I'll eat one tonight and one tomorrow night" then she wonders at my willpower because I can happily leave a cake in the fridge till tomorrow night without creeping downstairs at 3am and troughing it!

That being said she regularly pays to see psychics and tarot readers so it must be true about a fool and their money.

Oh I have to disagree on the tarot front. I can ALWAYS rely on the tarot* and I don’t pay anyone to do it *mystic emoji*

(*And Pringles, to a disintegrating extent)

The biggest issue I have with Weight Watchers is HOW FUCKING BORING people are who are on it.

Like WORSE THAN VEGANS.

I’ve recently been dabbling with AA (et al) and I have to say that the constant bleating about how GRATEFUL people are to be there is really chafing my cranny. Same old dreary, generic speech from almost everyone. Apart from me, obviously. I just say how resentful I am to be there and sit there grimacing. Someone told me after a recent meeting that she stole a motorbike when she was pissed and fell off: I thought this was quite funny so laughed but she looked deeply ashamed. Let’s face it, the best anecdotes are usually the drunken ones, even if you did want to die inside for days afterwards

I mean I am going to keep on going because I do have the odd issue (:side-eye:) but honestly it’s like some sort of SAYING THE RIGHT THINGS cult. Mind you, someone said CUNT the other day so I’m definitely going back to that one :disco:

Sorry but I just proper laughed out loud at that. :D

Women were born with original sin of course, but they never say specifically that original sin is an eclair from the office girl
