This album single handedly pulled me back into pop music after rebelling and moving on to indie/electro around 2003-2005
 
Get Back is the best of the three bonus tracks. It actually sounds like it took more than a couple of hours for a start.
 
I've never heard GET BACK and it's GOOD. Nowhere near the heights of Toy Soldier but I'd happily swap this for Why Should I Be Sad at the end.
 
This went WELL. Has given me some food for thought for next week's Sync Listen anyway...

Overall a lovely subtle affair. Nuanced is the word bouncing around my head. Best served with a glass of vintage Bordeaux and a rare animal on your plate. Guaranteed to be a dinner party favourite this spring.

THIS! It's like Blackout was a bleep in Britney's career and after that they made her go back to early beginnings problem being by that point in her career she had to move forward, she already had gone through so much: motherhood, head shaving phase, custody battle, Kevin, etc. The singles from Circus were CHILD STUFF even if they were good. By Femme Fatale onwards she was back to shiny upbeat pop dance :(

Everything post Blackout has ben A&R-ed within an inch of its life and it shows :evil:

It kind of HAD to be though. Brit is my Queen but she hasn’t strung a proper sentence or put on anything resembling a solid performance since the breakdown. I think shiny and vapid was the only way her team could keep her career going. And to be fair, the bangers up until 2013 were all pretty high quality.
