I can totally see why it flopped, but it deserves to be much better regarded for how forward thinking it was.

Don't Let Go and Too Gone Too Long are two of the greatest songs ever made. Masterpiece Theater is also amazing but in a totally different manner.

well it went Top 20 in both the UK and US and helped launch the album which did very well, so I don't think it did. After the shock momentum of Don't Let Go they were probably expecting something a bit bigger though. They should have led with Too Gone Too Long as it was the sound people were associating them with at that point. It might have been bigger, who knows now though.

I listened to all of 3 of their 90s albums last night (I WAS BORED). What really struck me was how ODD they were willing to be.

'Time Goes On' from Born To Sing is a real curiosity.

Obviously an amazing singles group but for me fall into the trap that loads of r'n'b acts do in not having anywhere near a good start to finish album.

I think Funky Divas is GREAT. Jam packed with hits and pretty much all the album tracks are almost as good. I love 'Desire'.

I prefer EV3 in terms of number of quality tracks, but Funky Divas is definitely the one to listen to right the way through - as a sort of concept album it's the sum of its parts. It flows FANTASTICALLY, all the swing and doowop references keep it tight and relevant.

I want to love all their albums, but I do agree that they are more of a singles act on the whole. But what a fucking singles act - they really are vocally head and shoulders above any other girl group, possibly ever.

Three members of En Vogue have revealed that they are suing each other.

Singer Maxine Jones, who left the band earlier this month, revealed on her Twitter page that her bandmates Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron "forced" her out and have taken legal action against her.

She wrote: "Yup Terry n Cindi r evil! They took over the LLC n bank acct, forced me out, gave my gigs to that chick LOL, and SUING #ME!

"@MaxineJonesEV Real arrogant bitches drunk over power lol! My lawyer and I look forward to court! We're gonna catch it on our reality show 2 lol".

Former member Dawn Robinson, with whom Jones plans to form a new version of the group, added: "Don't worry about it Max lol! The truth about they're asses had to come out sooner or later! Do NOT erase these messages lol!"

En Vogue's original lineup reformed in 2010, where they played a series of shows including a date at London's Indigo2.

The band released three successful albums in the 1990s and a string of hit singles, including 'Hold On', 'My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)' and their signature song 'Don't Let Go (Love)'.

Side-strutting the obvious ones, Lies and Riddle are just awesome. A shame the original line up can't work it out to work on an album, but Madamme Robinson almost keeps their mystery and fascination in tact by presumably being impossible for the rest to work with.

I'm not sure why they were was miming because they never mime. So much of it is was live, and the vocals were not studio they were pre-recorded from another live performance. Maybe one of them was sick.

Anyway, they work so much better as a foursome so it's lovely to see Maxine back. It's interesting that they'll do minor singles from the first album but not the minor singles from the third album, which were bigger hits in the UK. I'd love them to take another stab at Whatever.
