The only other explanation was that you'd somehow mastered the art of adding up the votes and were now an insanely efficient FF machine.

No hang on that clearly can't be the case...

Ok, starting to compile this and 2 different posters gave the most unbelievable answer to one question, I had to re-read the question but I still don't get it. I don't know how is that even possible. Maybe I'm starting to lose my mind but I hope there's some explanation that I can't see after 6 weeks in lockdown. :square:

No spoilers, I think I just need some fresh air because this is not happening. It's not someone not understanding one question, is like asking for a country and 2 people answering POLAR BEAR. On that level. I'm...

Just for your interest in case any of you are. My work one went kind of well although I only got 36 entries. It would have gone better if I was allowed to do it earlier, but since we have so many people on furlough, they weren't able to submit anything.

Some really good question, love the rationed food one. I would have done terrible, we done have kettles here :D The Elephant man beating The Artist is shocking, and I wasn't that wrong with Faith, even when it wasn't the top answer.

The Elephant Man was shown on BBC1 last week and was re-released at cinemas earlier this year for a 40th anniversary restoration, so I was impressed with so many saying that.

I was surprised that the George Michael song was the one with most possible variables but probably had the fewest answers given!
 
Oh right, that explains why The Elephant Man was such a popular answer, it was very odd. And how did New Zealand beat Australia? :shock:
Sometimes you have questions with some obvious answers, and then people overthinking and answering anything else.

I don't get it. As far as I know, Oceania is the continent, Australia is a country that is part of it and it happens to be an island. I don't know what I'm missing here.

Some people call the continent Oceania, some people call it Australasia, and some people call the continent Australia.

However the some of those people are wrong.

I *think" the following is true.

Oceania is the continent. It contains four sub regions, divided culturally and geographically; Australasia (Australia, New Zealand), Melanesia (Fiji, New Guinea), Micronesia (Guam, Kiribati) and Polynesia (the rest all the way up to Hawaii)

Australia is basically the main part of the continent which makes up Australasia which makes up Oceania. It's not counted as an island in its own right, the same way New Zealand is.

Saying Australia is like saying all mainland of Europe, Africa and Asia is an island. Yes it's all contiguous land surrounded by water, but it's considered part of the main continental mass, not an island.

Yet wikipedia lists Australia as the definition of the continent and Oceania as a geopolitical entity.
