As an actual certified frenchie I guess he can confirm the context they're used in rather than me, but I thought marmelade in French is the same as the English "marmalade" - orange and bitter. What English call "jam" the French called confiture and this is sweet.
 
I picked Phobos for the moon because it (and the other Martian moon Deimos) are the setting for the hit videogame series, DOOM :horny:
