NICHE INTEREST ONLY: I was amused recently to see Ashley Darby of Real Housewives of Potomac non-fame has 365 monthly Spotify listeners :D

Streaming still skews the bigger picture. It seems streaming really hasn't crossed over to all generations in the same way downloads appeared to do.
 
To me it's surprising to see Katy Perry (last album 3 years ago, flop) above Taylor (last year for Lover, a hit).

It probably just means Katy has a broader base of casual listeners vs Taylor's smaller, more loyal stanbase.

OR it means that Katheryn is on the very CUSP of an enormous comeback. :disco:

I'm guessing China must be responsible for Jessie J's offensively high stats.

Ommited idol Enya is on 2.8m, which may seem low, but isn't terrible for someone who lives without electricity and prefers to communicate with the world via moonbeams. Whether you would list her within Current Solo Artists or you would deem her 217 voices a Current Group is up for debate.

How come Whitney’s are that much higher (despite a shorter backcatalogue)?

I wonder how much being heavily featured in popular playlists affect older artists.
 
Are these numbers totals from the time songs were available on Spotify or just this year? I don’t know how these things work.

Oh never mind, these are monthly stats! :o
 
These are total monthly listeners, so very fluid/pointless/a colossal waste of my time
