Hiya!
For those who want to join where having a lil JQBX evening tomorrow evening. This is where we all take turns to DJ and play whatever delights we fancy to a thankful/perturbed audience. The audience can toot or boot or the songs, and there is a chat box so we can all have a little chat and a drink along the way.
If you don't really know what I mean, just JOIN and all will eventually become clear.
Instructions
If you wish to play your own tunes you will need Spotify Premium. You can sign up for a free trial now and cancel it later. I will place a reminder in this thread at some point.
If you don't want to take a Spotify Premium account out and don't mind about DJ'ing you can stream the JQBX via a live Twitch which @ZenGiraffe will set up. Downside of this is that you also can't chat I believe.
Either download the app to your phone or use the desktop browser

Troubleshooting
The desktop and phone app both look a BIT intimidating at first as there's lots of bells and whistles everywhere, but when it works well, it works well. Plus it's excuse to have a drink and listen to someshit TUNES

Using the browser version
- Go to http://jqbx.fm/ and sign into the desktop app
- I will provide a direct link to the room on the night or you can search for the room name (which I'll also provide on the night) and the password
- When in the room click "Be a DJ"
- On the left use the magnifying glass to search for songs and add to your queue
- When it's your turn the song at the top of your queue will be played, in the meantime you can add to, delete from and reorganise your queue as you see fit
- When someone else's song is playing, vote "NOPE" or "DOPE" using the buttons on the right. If a song gets enough "DOPE"'s it will sadly be skipped
- If you're fine with just listening for a while click "Step Down". You will lose your place in the queue if you then decide to "Be a DJ" again
Using the phone version
- Download JQBX from the store
- I will provide a direct link to the room on the night or you can search for the room name (which I'll also provide on the night) and the password

- Click "+ Queue" at the bottom, then click "Search" to search for songs and add to your queue
- When it's your turn the song at the top of your queue will be played, in the meantime you can add to, delete from and reorganise your queue as you see fit

Troubleshooting
- It seems if you have Alexa's or similar household speakers the app gets a bit CONFUSED sometimes and it will seem like it's playing silence. If this happens click "Sync Audio". On the desktop app you can also click the icon at the top right (two in from your username) and this brings down a dropdown of the devices in your household, so make sure the right one is selected.
